Was looking forwards to tonight, then I get the phone call I was dreading! Work is now sending me off to the North East as a colleague has phoned in sick! The morning shift willing to "hang on 'till I get there", but can't cover the whole evening and muggins here is the only one within the patch!

So I'm not going to see Damo's latest mod !

Why do I bother :rotz:!? Oh well it's going to be another long day on the M1/A1!!!

Hello to everyone I didnt get chance to chat to and thanks for being so friendly to the new faces I did chat to.

A special thanks to Ben for the logging of figures and general chat about performance and the test drive in the best Octavia mk2 stage 2 ive been in. IMO your map is a lot smoother and consistent through the range than the bluefin and revo maps. You need to get anyone thinking about a remap to go for a test drive in your car because performance and price wise IMO its a no brainer.

Nice to get a comparrison with another 350bhp Octavia and another set of Porsche brakes (different cars).

And Oz you were on top form, full of energy. Anyone would think you didnt have any kids:eek:

Weather wise a horrible evening but didnt spoil it for me. A late night but good fun.

Another great meet, the weather was pretty rubbish but another great turnout! Thanks to all who made the effort to come down (and to Damo, who got there a little "earlier" than the rest of us).

Oh and thanks Mark How did it go down the dual carriageway? I'm not sure if you were hammering it or not (but I suspect not).

Mine's not been washed in nearly three weeks, it's filthy.

I took mine through a 50 mile long drive through car wash, all the way from work to about a mile from the meet, looks a lot cleaner as a result & non of those nasty Morrison's brushes!

it was almost as if people were deliberately slowing down, then speeding up.

Shame there was so much spray as I got soaked trying to listen to your exhaust.

Did you notice that the ultra reliable matrix signs on the M1 were telling people that M18 J5 exit slip was closed, yet they completely omitted to mention the N/B M1 to M18 access slip was closed. The first notice of it was the line of cones! Nice one Highways Agency!
