Ford Serrias

Non cosworth ones

They seem to all have disapperaed.

My first car was a blue Sierra Ghia. I loved that car and I saw one the other day, oh the nostalgia :D

Sierra XR4i........

How about a Hillman Avenger in a slightly odd "turquise" type colour !!??

A few years ago I saw a Jaguar E-Type in Red

When I was in Praha Recently, I saw loads of old skodas, obviously, and also spotted a really nice Orange Cortina like this one

Wow, brings back memories... I leant to drive in one of those, and she was orange too. It was my Dad's, drove it for about a year before he traded it in for an Escort. Before that he had a Vauxhall Victor FB but I never got to drive that.

Escort Cosworth

How about:

Renault Fuego - used to be my dream car.

Vauxhall Chevette - early 1990's 'lads runabout'.

Reliant Kitten - 3 wheeler with 4 wheels...

Austin Princess - still looks fresh.

I still would love a Mk 1 Renault 5 Turbo (schoolboy dream car).

My all time favourite.

Rover SD1 Vitesse Twin Plenum. Just ace !

And surprisingly quick for their size too. 0-60 7.1secs.

There's a house not far from here that had an XR2 on the drive when I moved in over 5 years ago with signs in the window saying "not for sale". At the time it looked pretty tidy for an '86 car but since then it's not moved and now sports green mould , brown rust and flat tyres.

They recently put a "for sale" sign in the window.

There's a 635i in similar condition near Ap0gee Jr's nursery, 'not for sale'

[adenoids] You can't be that much of a fan to call it an 'SD1'!!! [/adenoids]

Why ??

Why ??

Because they were never actually sold as SD1s, it was just a development handle - just as Windoze Server 2008 was never sold as 'Server Longhorn'.

[adenoids] That, my friend, appears to be a Rover 3500 Vanden Plas EFi... [/adenoids]

He's right! :D

I have seen one of these a few times around York. In a light-ish blue in pretty good nick... sounds very nice actually!

The car in my picture is indeed a Twin Plenum Vitesse though.

And as for not using the SD1, i'm only going by what all the owners forums are etc... :P

Funnily enough I crossed with one of those coming in to work this morning

I've also spotted what appears to be an abandoned project in someone's front garden with a bodged on droop snoot - it wasn't looking good :rotz:

BMW 6-Series. And a proper E24! Saw one the other weekend in London. Looked very tidy.

Wouldn't mind one :)

This one was an awful metallic bronze colour...

Citroen GSA, but I can see why; a bloke near where I used to live had one, which got derusted and a full respray every 5 years, whether it needed one or not (and it always did)!

Strangely I would like one of these

and this as a weekend car

I love another Mk2 escort!! Not in orange mind...

We've got a Nova GTE down the road from us. A friend of mine had one during uni too - was a laugh to drive! Especially as the brakes were unbalanced and it'd pirouette randomly!

I know where there's a Mk1 Astra for sale in Stafford and I followed a Mk1 Cortina through Stone the other day. Having the County Showground not far away means we get see quite a lot of classic cars driving round.

Old cars are brilliant.

The one I spotted was a lovely grey/blue colour...

But yes, saw that bronze when I was browsing for images :thumbdwn:

lotus carlton

Not seen a morris 1000 for a while...what's happening to all these older cars...are they going to the great scrappage scheme in the sky?

There is one of those on my street, it's just a shame the guy thought it would be a good idea to put a FMIC on the outside of the front bumper :rotz:
