  • Picked up the new VRS: 2013 Fabia VRS by Graeme_Smith, on Flickr

  • Popped to the garage at lunchtime to swap coolant temp sensor. I don't think it's the problem but it can't hurt. Going to swap O2 sensor later for the spare I have. Went well, all sorted in 5 mins. T

  • modified the cup holder     It's now a hobnob holder

I also removed manky (two on left) skoda badges off project 16v, and have one new one coming in the post, and fitting bargain used good order one on the right asap.

Bolted the wrong turbo to it!

Sobbed as i got a o/s/r slow puncture :(

Took the child seats out of the Superb, cursed as I saw the amount of cr@p that had been deposited, then sat in the back and smiled at the massive legroom!

Then had a go at lifting the rear seat bases - hadn't bothered so far - turned out to be really easy to do and makes the boot quite a bit more useable  Sadly, it revealed even more cr@p to clean :dull:

Then came inside for a drink and got distracted on here :)

Back out in the sun to finish cleaning next :sun: :sun: :sun:

Fitted a Aux In lead to the back of the Blaupunkt audio unit on my lil Fabby, so I can play my ipod through it  It's the little things in life that bring us Joy.

Washed the mk2 and fitted my black grill surround to the mk1

Sobbed as i got a o/s/r slow puncrure :(

Got a Kumho KU39 fitted today.Excellent grippy tyre.£80 fitted.

Agreed. Very good tyre for the money.

Despite having all my boost pipe connectors replaced in October, I found this today :(

Hmmmm......

Washed the Fabia today, annoyed by all the swirl marks, will hopefully do something about them soon (by hand).

Washed hoovered and polished Mums Fabia as a belated Mother's Day present.

Washed it for the first time since I got it.

Front passenger brake pad cried it's last after having to do an emergency stop on the motorway because of some t :swear: t. Stopped in time without hitting anything, but brakes grinding like mad afterwards. 4pm on a Sat, with work at 7pm, local garages don't stock pads, so can't do anything until Monday. Ended up having to deliver pizzas in a 2 litre Celica...Got some interesting looks doing that..

painted engine cover, battery cover and top of air box sorry about the sun reflection off the battery box

Passed the 1000-mile mark.

Gave Monte a rinse, wash & rinse........ and yet more wax!

The eagled eyed amongst you may notice the nice clean brake calliper, but that's only because I've done a mere 500 miles, not because its been cleaned! ;)

Worked out how to route the piping for my catch can. Quick trip to B&Q for some bits for extra pikey ness.

Changed my ignition switch & gave it a much needed wash!

Picked it up after getting new discs and pads on all 4 corners. WOW, I never noticed how bad my brakes had been getting aha.

Also gave it a wash.

Just aligned by headlights, never dark enough in the evening to do it and i'm at work now, its dark and there are plenty of big walls to line them up against

Left it in the multi-storey car park at work unlocked with the driver's window down. Doh!

No harm done though.

Good job as I only fitted my new head unit 2 days ago!!

Washed the emulsion off from under my arches after some pikey dropped a bucket of it in the road on a bend so couldn't avoid it. Good thing emulsion is water based

Whilst I was away my vRS has had:

- 2 Front Brake Discs

- 2 Front Brake Pads

- Powerflex bushes for the front suspension

- 4 wheel laser alignment

Car definitely feels smoother (as a result of the laser alignment) and just waiting to see if my MPG has increased at all!
