What did you do to your Skoda today?

I traced a bloody annoying rattling noise that was emanating from somewhere around the rear seats.....it was the two seat belt receivers that are adjacent to each other that were rattling. A quick heave ho had them bent away from each other. Job's a fish! ;)

Fitted a new aerial base and mast, due to radio reception being terrible. Cured the problem all right so must have been corrosion in the old one. Pt. number 1UO 035 507 A,for anyone else who might need to get a new base that has the navigation/phone leads as well as the radio one.

Then fitted the new nearside underbody trim I bought (Bickerton Skoda) at the same time as the aerial. Last owner managed to rip it completely off somewhere when he had it. Pt number for that was 1KO 825 201 AE.

just come in from buying choccy at shop to discover a piece of paper saying sorry hit your car this is my number.on inspection is paint damage to O/S/F door (including mirror), wing and bumper phoned up number and got someone with awful english but thank fully she put me through to her boss and pleased to find out that its a company vehicle (local company so can go upset them if they start paling silly buggers) so hopefully insurance will sort out asap

Thats good. Shame the person who did this to me the other month had zero decency and just drove off leaving me with a near £500 bill.

Cleaned the large poo deposits I got from parking under a tree at work. Mine clean the whole thing on Friday as I have a day off

Got rid of the black door strips on the Fabia.........much cleaner looks, and a very straightforward job :)

Looks lovely mate

tried to work out how I was going to route the hose and catch can for the elephant mod - there's chuff all space under the bonnet.

I attached mine to the battery cover, made it easy to work on car as can simply undo hose and unclip

Fitted new rear discs and pads, may even wash her later

There is even less space under the bonnet than in my old car, getting round past the battery and air intake is the tricky bit.

I see what you mean.... Is there

Anywhere low down where you could access it from underneath?

If I get a couple of 90 degree bends I can route down past the MAF and past the air cleaner then there is a nice bit of space at the front and I can route the pipe out of the CC down into the front of the wing.

There is a Pirtek place near work and I might pop in there and see what bits I can acquire.

Looks really good mate, works with the blue sides

Cheers mate, I'm impressed it's still on!

Hey guys need help finding a decent panel beater/sprayer in Limerick Ireland. The inlaws reversed into my cayenne orange 2002 Octavia making **** of the whole wing!! Needs doing but don't want to pay over the top, or those anyone know of anywhere that has a same colour front passenger (left) wing?? At least they agreed to stump up for the damage :whew: Any help greatly appreciated!!

Took mum shopping while trying to work out why my heater which I was hoping would keep us cool is now as of yesterday not working well there is some air but turn nob with numbers on it and no difference. Although you can make what air there is cold or warm but theres not much of it. But my bad starting problem has been solved and we have given up on the misfiring we will wait till its more annoying and then try to deal with it. 14 July I will have had her a year and until about two months ago I had had very little trouble. Grrrrrr

Just fitted the Brodit clip for my TomTom. Saved me £250+ on getting a second hand Amundsen from eBay ;)

Drove it off the Drive, washed Ambrosia, put back on drive, wife came home from work ( half day Friday ) so Bert go washed as well

Washed the car. Got the leather around the gear stick changed. Put new LEDs for the licence plate and got the remote locking installed :)

Gave it a spin since I haven't used it for a fortnight. In low sun I saw how dirty my windscreen is so I'll be doing that when I get home

Met FUBAR from the site who called around to very kindly update my Columbus Firmware, cheers mate!

Used Autosmart Tardis to remove tar spots, then some Iron-X to remove iron contamination, then a proper claying over with 3M clay. She is looking much nicer now!
