What did you do to your Skoda today?

Featured Replies

Washed it, did all the door rubbers with Gummi Pfledge and used the Supagard tyre & trim dressing that came with the car to get the wheel arches & lower trim looking reasonable. It doesn't quite look as good as it did when I bought it nearly two years ago, but it's not far off.

SWMBO wasn't impressed with the amount of time I've spent "doing nothing" this weekend so the downstairs windows have been done with a two bucket wash, Valet Pro Poseidon shampoo and a final go over with Sonax BSD

  • Popped to the garage at lunchtime to swap coolant temp sensor. I don't think it's the problem but it can't hurt. Going to swap O2 sensor later for the spare I have. Went well, all sorted in 5 mins. T

You forgot to clay the downstairs windows. :giggle:  :giggle:  :giggle:

Picked up refurbished wheels with new tyres and had them fitted to the car.  Winter wheels/tyres returned to their resting place in my garage.

Guy at the tyre place commented "It looks normal now" when the silver wheels were refitted.  I don't suppose there are too many Roomsters with Black alloys.

If you see 32mpg in mixed driving, you'll be lucky. SWMBO's one seldom does better than 30mpg in her rush hour town-driving-followed-by-one-stop-on-the-motorway commute... :(

Makes me pleased I got the 1.4 TDI. Of course, if I drove like I am expected to (I am an OAP granddad) , I possibly could get better than 50 mpg ( overall in most conditions), but. I love to drive on the edge.(or close to it).

Seems very healthy for a stock map. What else was running on the day and how did their results compare?

Bought something for it

Just need to sort a snow foam lance from Autobrite Direct now. I am sure Wardy will be pleased  ;)

Great work! :D

Good choice - I bought one as well some time ago.

Washed the unbelievable amount of dust off after being in a Valet Park at the airport for a week

Just need to organise an Autobrite Foam Lance

Washed, EGP and AG HD waxed it.

A Clio 182 that produced 180bhp, Astra 1.7CDTi produced 122bhp

Managed a little engine detailing after a Meguiars wax this morning...

Took it to Yorkshire Big Breakfast at Malton this morning, passing the 24K mark en-route. Cleaned the splattered bugs off it when I got home. Cleaned the engine bay so hopefully getting it ready for Show & Shine at Elsecar tomorrow shouldn't take too long once I get there.

Car was/is somewhat of a disgrace at the moment so popped over to the jetwash at Asda .... I think I managed to get more water on my jeans than on the car, totally out of practise using those things!

Washed yet more dust off it....Dust laden rain again!!

Looked at it and decided I have a slow puncture. Nearside rear, so once the rain has stopped I'll pump it up and have to do that each week until the tyre needs replacing

You could get it checked, see if it can be repaired?

Trouble with a slow is, even with a weekly re-inflation, it could be more likely to blowout, if it suddenly gets worse.

I think the wife is going to take my car with her to work tomorrow and get the lads to check. Hope it is only a slow puncture as it does still have a fair amount of tread left

Finished a 750 mile trip and (provisionally) sold it.

Took it too a week long road trip, trouble free 200 km drive done and more to come

Had x2 new Hankook tyres fitted on the rear wheels. :)

Just fitted a new emblem badge to the rear hatch.

Dropped my CAR keys in the small gap/hole between my FMIC and bumper
