What did you do to your Skoda today?

Featured Replies

Took it to get a slow puncture fixed, as there was a screw in the centre of the tread. Most expensive tyre repair I've had, at £20.74 :( My local would have done it for a tenner.

Dropped it off at the Detailer for a full Gtechniq detail.  Hopefully it'll come back all shiny tomorrow afternoon.

For the first time in a while....Nothing

drove it hard after a week and half of painstakingly slow and boring driving.

Today? Technically, I sold it. Now not a car owner.

Pushed the limits of 225/45/17s on a couple of large and quiet roundabouts.

If only the Octy was RWD and had double the nags under the hood :-)

Fixed that now. Car owner again from next saturday. :) :)

What are you getting?

Not me but my brother gave my car a good clean. Hasn't been done since around October, maybe even before then. :)

Gave the Fab a good clean.

Snowfoam, wash, dry and then wax with some Poorboys Natty's Paste wax. Also cleaned the leather inside.

What are you getting?

2007 Scout. "Satin grey" although looks more like a light blue to me. MFSW, MaxiDot, Factory Xenons. :)

Just buffed my Combi up with some of that Armorall Fast Wax... It's 'okay' as a top dressing and cleans off just as fast as Meguiars Number 3, Poor Boys White Diamond, Black Hole and Natty Wax but doesn't take tar speckles off as well as the latter four while detailing.

It did rain on it afterwards and the claim of 'aggressive water beading' was accurate but no better than the others...

Will be "donating" it for use on the missus' Street Ka - he says realising he buffs that up for her too! Doh!

Wednesday I changed the rear left brake bulb then drove south through the Mont Blanc tunnel to Genoa in Italy. Sunny, blue skies and warmth. Left it in the safety of the hotel car park for a few days, I'm not upto mixing it with all the scooters, too many distractions :-)

Today I cleaned the windscreen and checked the oil before driving towards Milan, Brescia and over the Brenner Autostrada. Bought a vignette and crossed into Austria. Drove over the Europabrucke and now near Innsbruck for a few days.

Replaced a split CV boot. Forgot what a messy job that is. Then replaced both front wishbones, tearing one of the rubber boots on one of the new ball joints in the process :wall: . Quick trip to Euro car parts and that was sorted.

Tried to free off the track rod ends so that I can get the steering wheel to sit straight but they are properly seized to buggery so that's gonna have to be new track rods. Joys.

Like cars :D

i'm with you on that one.. i hate that cv grease, the smell of it stays in your nose for days

Fully sealed all the exterior glass with Carbon Collective Glass Sealant. Just need it to rain next week now to see how well it performs.

Fitted the facelift aerial to my PFL.

It's the small things!

Stretched her legs, Bristol to Shrewsbury and back and for the first time since owning her, registered over 60 on the trip computer, in fact I had not seen over 52 prior to today.

Chugged 'over the border' into Durham to see the outlaws today - 56mpg average on my hybrid ;-)
