What did you do to your Skoda today?

Featured Replies

Octy: did a tip run and then cleaned the outside, tyre pressures, screen wash...looks nice for a quick job :)

Found a load of tar spattered up the sides from the recently resurfaced A22 :(

Fabia: Collected her :) Cleaned blood off nice sales person's desk (Junr cut his finger within five minutes of our arrival). Installed car seat. Installed Hunt Jnr, drove it around lots. Handed it over to Mrs H.

  • Popped to the garage at lunchtime to swap coolant temp sensor. I don't think it's the problem but it can't hurt. Going to swap O2 sensor later for the spare I have. Went well, all sorted in 5 mins. T

  • modified the cup holder     It's now a hobnob holder

Wore another 5k off the clutch. The 30th can't come quick enough, I'm getting concerned I might not make it to Mansfield.

I've not physically done anything to it today but I'll be pretty hands on over the next week or so. Finished ordering all the bits and bobs for a big brake upgrade. Porsche 996 4 pots and golf R32 discs. That should stop it!!!

Gave the Octy a good wash and buff up and its now looking rather shiny for a 14 year old. I've still not fixed the tailgate due to my problem child demanding all my attention!

Took the roofbars off as the whistling was annoying the tits off me.

Got a silencer fitted to make sure I can get on track at castle combe. Was measured at 115db before ... its alot quieter now :D

Went to visit Clive at CN Tuning....

I'm poorer now.

Booked mine into Malis Design (Wetherby) to have the door shuts and flutes plasti dipped

Just fitted new car mats all round, old material ones were wearing through after only 6 months so I got rubber ones when I was at Halfords on Wednesday.

Fitted sill guards all round, then de-spanieled the boot and cleaned the nose art from the windows. Now need something to protect the top of the back bumper from mucky paws.

Today I'll be removing the winter grille block and re-torquing all the wheel nuts after changing to summer wheels a while ago before driving to Manchester for work this evening.

I reckon the trip will probably take me about four times longer than usual due to pleasure trippers on the A57, as it's a bank holiday, and it's sunny.  :@

Gave the Octy a good wash :)

Full service and complete valet (actually started it yesterday but it's finished now and looks a treat), don't know if it's the placebo effect but also feels a bit quicker too!

Now going Kart racing with my youngest, I expect to get thrashed as he is quite gifted (and almost half my weight) lol.

Paid a visit to Group1RS and had my front discs and pads changed for some Pagids. :)

Drove it in anger after having a crap morning at work. God I HATE my job

- Summer wheels collected from storage in Harrogate

- Winter wheels off

- Wheel arches de-tarred & cleaned

- Brake callipers wire-brushed to get them (nearly) shiny again

- Summer wheels got a quick wipe over with Sonax QD (had a coat of Collinite 476S before going into storage)

- Wheels fitted back on, torqued up and tyres put back to standard running pressure.

- Winter wheels cleaned and given a coat of Collinite

- Winter wheels put back into storage

- Filled up with diesel

It's still absolutely filthy (apart from the wheels) from our holiday in Wales last week so tomorrow's job is a full clean to get it presentable for the Yorkshire Big Breakfast on Sunday, then another quick go over for Elsecar MegaMeet on Monday.

I thought this was supposed to be a holiday weekend!

Polished it again.

Changed the tie rod end, put the summer tires on and done the alignement. In the process noticed that the discs are on the way out...
