What did you do to your Skoda today?

Featured Replies

Bottom half wash; waste of time giving it the full Monty with the rain and filthy roads. It's tractor and slurry time.

Went to see it last night at the garage... Must still be inside in bits :(

Replaced the high level Led trim surround, I wanted to clean the glass inside by led :giggle::blush:

I cleaned what appeared to be an explosion of salt off the bonnet. I had to get the nasty t-cut out. Thought it best to do it before I go on holiday

left it on the drive and took the wifes A2 :D

Wanted to give it the economy drive test. Previously tried on a motorway run 40 miles at 60ish, managed 63.9 on the display

changed from 17's with 205/40 tyres that weighed in at 40lb each to 15" peperpots with 185/60 Kleber Quadraxers that total at 30lb each

Now on the way I was sat behind a wagon bouncing off its limiter so sat nav showed a steady 55 and it returned 88.8 over 30ish miles

on the way back sat at 70-75 and got 62.5

so all in all very happy with the improvement :D

Nice results!

P.S. Love your signature quote :D

Drove it to the motor ractors to get some DOT4 fluid to top up the clutch reservoir on the MX5 so I could get it to the garage when the slave cylinder gave way. Then used it to get me into work...

Just changed it! :p

Not really, I think I've got the hang of this forum lark by now! Quotes aren't generally required unless you're multi-quoting or are referring to a post further up the thread.

As I wasn't doing either of those things, it referred to the post directly above mine.

Carlack 68, what's it like? Use rainx myself and been recommended mer stuff but was awful, really difficult to get off.

Sorry for the delay in replying, the Carlack glass treatment package (cleaner, which can be a bugger to get off if you leave it on for too long) and then repellant is great stuff, performs much better and lasts much longer that Rain-X.

Car serviced , all filters including fuel too

failing to get my bluetooth to work with the bloody phone *grumble*

You sure it's got a Bluetooth module fitted? ;)

Yeah! it seems to find my phone and then says it's not compatible.. grr!

Pressure washed all the sheep muck off it after staying at a farm cottage in North Wales. The drive up to it appeared to be the the place all the sheep went to deposit their second-hand grass - the fields were pristine 'cos it was all on the drive! - and then it all transferred onto my wheels and arches. The tyres were still green when I got home :( On a positive note that Bilberry wheel cleaner is good stuff :)

Took (some) of it to bits to fit my sub and headunit, only for the heavens to open. Plan adandoned until tomorrow.

Sent it to the garage to fix speakers and parktronic

Put a coat of Meguiars Gold class paste wax on

Done, in about 15 minutes (including 'thinking time'). There are templates to aid positioning which you can order separately but I didn't bother.
