Yesterday I cleaned and sealed the glass with Carlack68. The sealant was fine (similar to Rain-X I last used 25+ years ago) but the glass cleaner was a right pain to buff off. Did the job though. Today gave the car a snow-foam (only my cheapo Lidl pressure washer & foam gun doesn't generate enough pressure for decent suds), two bucket clean and a coat of Collinite 476. Hard work (considering the old Octy only got a few washes a year) but a shiny result in the end :)

Finally got round to fitting the little black piece of

plastic above my new stereo...

What a waste of time... There's still a gap Arrgh!!

Took it into country number 8 in just 14 days. :-)

Slapped some petroleum jelly on a troublesome parking sensor that the dealer cannot find anything wrong with :wonder:

Made a start on these....

Also got an "interesting" max boost figure from the Torque Android app.

Imported my own set of POIs into the Columbus using this very useful webpage:

http://www.volkswage...n-sammlung.html

And then checked it out. Works fine, and much easier than POInspect0r. Helps if you can understand German though.

(Edit - I put a guide in the ICE section just now for this).

Fitted towbar to Superb just got electrics to do

Oh I'd love to do that on my fab vRS, but alas it's not type approved to tow :-(

I did nothing to the Fabia as it is in the dealers having an oil usage issue looked at.

I didn't do anything the Yeti either, I have had it for one year now, it has covered nearly 50K miles, it needs a wash as last week I must have driven through a million flying ants and they are all stuck to front! But alas I didn't get around to it and the car is sitting outside looking very un loved!

Washed it. Found some more stone chips to the wing and bonnet, including a great crater on the top of the offside wing, that I know will have been caused by a tipper truck passing me on a country lane - remember hearing a crack as it passed and something got thrown up :punch:

A full front-end respray looks ever more likely.... :wall:

Washed mine too. And found out that you can't lift the front large windscreen wiper up off the window more than about 5 inches 'cos of the bonnet!

Ate my lunch in it... oh yeah! living the dream!!!

Not 100% on the Superb, but on the Octy2 there's a park position for the wipers. This puts the arms in the upright position on the screen for you, so you can easily lift them off to clean/swap blades etc.

When you park up and turn the engine off, with the key in the 'off' position, press the wiper stalk down once (as if you're doing a manual wiper flick) - the wipers should rise up and 'park' on the screen.

Yep, just the same on the Superb.

Got up and walked passed it on the drive as the wife is using it after she loves the mods i've had done. Back to using the work van :(

Checked the oil; level good

Checked the coolant level; dropped again :(

i think the problem is the expansion tank leaking slowly, although I'm gonna have to check the whole cooling system to be sure

Had 2 new tyres fitted, then drove it to band practice.

Looked at it with a constable for any evidence regarding my rear numberplate being ripped off last night :( would the scumbags time not have been better spent getting drunk or getting laid, or even masturbating?

Yep, just the same on the Superb.

Thanks - must RTFM properly!
