What did you do to your Skoda today?

For a change to the normal, filled it with our wet gear and went for a sail off the beach...

  • Popped to the garage at lunchtime to swap coolant temp sensor. I don't think it's the problem but it can't hurt. Going to swap O2 sensor later for the spare I have. Went well, all sorted in 5 mins. T

I did the N249 Bypass, drive to the petrol station, added £10, drove home and in the process burnt £10. Also, ate a lion bar on route and dropped a few of the nutty bits onto the silver fabric which left a little mark.

placed briskoda sticker in my windscreen

Washed it and found a small chip on the paint in the middle of the panel directly under the driver's side window. Odd place for a stone chip....?

Ordered it some winter boots.

Left it at home and took the bus.....

Left it at home and took the bus.....

Buses are expensive these days. Work out more than cost of using petrol, even if MPG is not great like mine.

Put some bits on the Citigo: bootliner, stainless sill protectors and storage nets for the boot.

the storage nets are a right laugh to fit -believe it or not you need remove a lot of trim and drill holes in the metal inside the boot and then file them out to a square shape in order to fit the hooks that hold the nets.

Maybe, but when you can't see because of an eye infection, it is the only way to get around when swmbo is at work

Used it to jump start a friends car and our other car due to us flattening the batteries charging phones/running coolboxes while camping. Luckily we were only camping 3 miles down the road.

Deciding where to put my Briskoda sticker...

Put mine above the drivers side head light in line with it on wing, looks pretty damn good!!!

I don't know what to say. Can't believe you did that to your daughter.

I think I was more upset by it than she was. Road was okay at first and got narrower and twistier and by the time she was looking unhappy it was a shorter distance to carry on than to go back.

Haven't been that way for about 6 years and in my memory it wasn't that bad! Lesson learned :)

Got the JPS nicely washed and dried....

.......then it p*ssed down :rain:

@RobC: Glad she's okay!

Wife took our Superb to Bracknell today to see the mother-in-law. Her first journey in it without me along. I shouldn't really have worried as she's an intelligent woman, but it was nice when she and the car arrived back okay!

We towed our caravan back from France - 4 bikes on the roof - and rock steady at 70mph on the French auto routes.

450 miles in 13 hours including the ferry (and a lengthy wait at Calais) - didn't miss a beat.

Washed for the first time since picking it up.

Don't know what the previous owners cleaning routines were like but it took major effort. And ran out of detailer spray before I had finished claying...
