Congrats mate.

Lovely car. Are the VRS badges on the seat height adjust standard?...cos they look cool!! I'm now going to phone the dealer to see when mine arrives...dribble! :-)

Nice colour..my second choice...have gone for Anthracite....with leather seats...pleased they do look so good!

I got them from Superskoda. I also got a stainless steel trim that goes around the cup holder (not in the pictures). I was aware that with the leather there was a lot of black/grey and wanted a bit of brightness. Made up with them, quite subtle

Also got the rear badge from Superskoda as well. It is a shame that postage adds so much to the price (which was why it was also worth buying a few bits at the same time, as there is a minimum charge).

that looks the dogs! leather looks great too.

Is that southport seafront by the way?

Well spotted! It is Southport.

Please disregard my previous post

Leather looks good, but the centre rear seat back looks a bit uncomfortable - then again I've never sat in the back of my pre-facelift model

Have to say I tried the rear seats in the FL and I found them just that "uncomfortable" they just feel to upright......but I dont have to sit in them and if anyone complains there is always the bus!! :P

There appears to be no difference between the rear seats in a pre-FL and FL vRS.

I think that the only difference when you specify the full leather is that the armrest and part of the seat directly below (i.e. the middle seat) are actually covered in leather, rather than a leather lookalike. I looks like that only the 'side' parts of the normal vRS seats are actually leather.

Indeed, the seats are the same, just a different covering.

I never completed the story about getting this car, so now I have had it for a week here is the update ...

The original thread was:

http://briskoda.net/octavia-ii/gutted-they-ordered-delivered-wrong-car/156824/

Whilst waiting for the new car to be delivered, the Sales Manager told me that he had found me another car that was already at the UK docks. The only thing was it did not have Maxidot. After playing around with a couple of cars in the showroom, with and without, I decided that I would rather have a car four weeks earlier and not have the Maxidot, so decided to proceed. I would still get the price reduction and the free servicing as previously agreed.

The car was due in a week, but on the day before it was due the Sales Manager got in touch to say that this car was in fact an estate :surprised

At least this time I did not get to the showroom. So it was back to the Week 41 car (the one I eventually got) and by way of further compensation I got the Maxidot and the Spare wheel at no charge.

By way of a final twist, when I got to the showroom to pick the car up they had managed to put the wrong number plates on it, but at least this was an easy fix!

The car was from Simpsons of Preston, and it is a shame really because the level of service I have received in the past has been very good. The Service Dept are very helpful, and salesman who handed the car over was also very good.

All of my dealings were with the Sales Manager who admitted to his mistakes and sorted out the compensation, but who seemed to think that the financial compensation somehow made up for all of the grief that I had experienced. Not so.

Anyway the car is brill

Nice to see some close up shots of the leather trim in the FL. Lovely looking car Griff.

Nice car, but that rear badge, imho, looks rubbish.

Fantastic car. The only thing i dont like is the steering wheel, but could happily live with it. Enjoy

Yeah, it really looks cheap.

Very nice. Do like the facelift front end And the seats look great?

Where about you from? Looks like southport.

Love the full leather, wish they were like that as standard!

Looks fantastic

I really cant wait now

Let us know how you get on with the running in and MPG

Now coming up to 2000 miles. Redlined it the other night just to see (5000 rpm!), but it is still tight at the top end, and there doesn't seem to be too much point with the torque lower down.

The CR engine is a significant step in refinement over the PD. My mate with an Astra was well impressed with both the power and the refinement. In my opinion it has transformed the car

The Trip Computer is indicating over 45 mpg for the first 2000 miles, but appears to be a bit optimistic (around 43 mpg in reality) which is 1-2 mpg better than my PD. Relatively easy to get over 50 mpg on a motorway cruise.

I have only still seen four FL vRS's on the road other than mine. Two Race Blue Hatches, One Candy While Hatch and a Black Estate.

Enjoy your car when you get it!

Nice car. I found out that the CR loosens up about 12-15K and doesn't disappoint in the performance dept ! Shame it was Simpsons who messed you about - I got mine from Colne and they were great about everything.

Lovely car , I love Race Blue me! Those leather seats and Sat nav unit look great as well 'Welcome on Board' indeed!

Hi Mate those leather seats look great but I would say that as I have the same in my FL Vrs estate, I noticed you don't have heated seats like me and as it has been very cold in the last two weeks I have found them very pleasant to sit in even without the heating elements, this may be due the fact that part of the centre and back are perforated and not as cold as the outer edges. love the colour as I used to have a race blue hatch. I also find the CR much more smother that the PD just waiting until superchips have found a way to program my one through the bluefin route as I have the 2010 Bosch ECU and they still can't communicate through blufin yet.

Enjoy that great car look spot on.

Regards

Congrats mate, she looks great. Almost makes me wish I'd have waited rather than gone for the LE in some ways. Enjoy.

Where do you get these rear badges from? Much prefer them to the ones on the 2008 I am getting!

Very nice car btw! :)

Oh, and sorry but not sure how I reply and retain the image!

I made a tough decsion when buying mine.... I wanted the limited edition with the shiny leather and extra options but I also wanted the facelift for the new front. In the end I went for the limited edition as the interior was identical apart from the limited edtion having what I consider to be better seats and it was in the showroom that day calling to me to drive it away :) Chuffed as nuts with mine and I expect you are equally as chuffed with your shiny new beast :) Good luck and have fun with it :)

The rear badges are just the ones from the FL model, with the exception of the centre one (covering the Skoda badge) which I got from Superskoda (which has had a mixed reaction - generally positive).
