These things happen to us all from time; sure once they have the bits she will be as good as new again :)

All repaired now and looking as good as new :)

This is the last day of our weeks break in North Yorkshire, showing Thule roof bag (340 litres) mounted on Thule aero bars. As the dogs pretty much take all of the boot space!

We toured all over the North York moors (the roof bag being left behind at our lodgings) managing an average of 55 mpg even travelling up 25 degree inclines with 2 adults, 3 kids and the dogs on board!

Although on the trip there only averaged 38.1 mpg at 80-90 on the A19 :S

Still the roof bag did make the aerodynamics seem shed like. On the return journey - 45-48mpg again at the same kind of speeds.

The oil reaching it's ideal temperature does make quite a diffence in fuel consumption.

Yeti's spotted ... 1 (aqua blue) by my oldest daughter as we passed a car park in Pickering I believe.

Also seen the new Mitsubishi ASX in white travelling toward me around the same area.

I had to keep reminding myself this car has only 108 bhp with 2WD as I drove quite briskly up and down the north york moors (an old Range Rover seem to be struggling in front of me).

Again as mentioned by others on this forum, the handling is truly amazing

What a brilliant car! :)

Got my red 1.2 TSI SE on Friday and already think it is one of the best cars I have owned. Specced the lumbar supports (why they aren't standard I dont know) and towbar prep. Rubber mats throughout (8 year old boy). Takes a while to get used to the lag when pulling off but feels like a much bigger engine when under way. Certainly think it is a great trade-off for the fuel economy! Wanted a sunroof but didn't want to wait 6 months and then pay extra VAT. It's also bigger than I expected when I got it home - sounds daft but test driving it I found it handles like a smaller car so thought it was just a bit bigger than a Mini. Only when parked next to the RAV4 at home could we see how big it is! Would post a picture but too challenged by the technology!

Here's our Yeti- a Cappucinno Elegance 2.0 TDI CR 140bhp 4x4

with Gobi Leather Upholstery,

Panoramic Sunroof,

Silver Roof Rails,

Mud Flaps front and rear,

YETI material fixed floor mats with YETI rubber ones on top!,

Plastic Boot Liner,

Detachable Tow Bar (very well hidden! )

and lots of nets for the boot area...

Taken on Bromyard Downs overlooking Herefordshire on Monday 1st March 2010!

Do you have any (clever!) pictures that show the Gobi interior close to the exterior colour? I have ordered a Cappuccino SM and quite wanted the Gobi but the dealer told me it would clash and I've not been able to see any live examples.

As stated before somewhere on this forum that dealer lied or is totally colour blind or living in a parallel universe. Brown and brown cannot clash. Why on earth would that clash!? Gobi and Cappuccino are a perfect match and even Skoda lists it as such.

hmibennett: this is the closest I could find showing Gobi AND Cappuccino. It is Lady P's car and

That's right. The brochure lists the Capuccino/Gobi combination as a "very good" match

This thread is rather useful. Helped me sell another Yeti today as she wanted to see a couple of different coloured Yetis!

Hi lok,

Regards,

TP

So which models have the wood finish dash trim strip thingy that you see on some website pictures?

Is it an extra?

Anyone got any photos of it on their car?

Hi TP,

I'm keeping 'em both, 1.2 for the spouse and the 1.4 Elegance "on order" one for me :)

Rif covers are OK with me, too bad we are limited to 17" alloys in Elegance (Experience in Serbia) trim.. otherwise I wolud opt for steel wheels.

BTW, 1.2 TSI active was (and still is) 12.700 EUR here in Serbia so there were no doubts what to buy :)

not a new idea coaching inns often have a 'hole' through them to access stables, as did a number of Georgein houses on which ours is modelled on. Basically it's the builders way of getting a reasonable size family home on a 'postage stamp' size square of earth. Actually works quite well, for us anyway, oh and it's three storeys high too. :o
