Thanks. The sun came out for about 3 seconds and it looked completely different. I had never seen this colour before so it was a bit nerve-racking. The dealer was a little worried too! It is darker than I thought and makes it look very smart. I was trying to go for a 'fun' colour rather than the more sombre greys my husband has had for work - but this would work for work! Even quite like the white roof it has on at the moment. The dealer had loads of yetis that had just been downloaded from Grimsby so we had a good look at many colours/specs. I have to say the steel grey also looked good. As for a name, it would be 'the Yeti' but the children are already on to that so we will have had several names (and arguments) from them by the end of the week. What they can't decide is whether it's male or female!! We have inherited an XK8 which I feel is a well groomed, if slightly aloof, sophisticated older lady and, compared to that, my Yeti like a handsome bounding male puppy! Have I gone mad? In my defense it's from the long wait. I think the rest of the briskoda population are seriously doubting the mental capacities of us yeti lot. emoticon-0140-rofl.gif

Looks very smart, Charlie emoticon-0144-nod.gif

With the white roof it looks a bit French Police style.

tom

Can't find any images of a french police car with a white roof. The normal police cars look like british ones but the riot/military police are blue! I've always thought the white Yetis look like those Red Cross vehicles you see trundling through deserts in war zones - just need a bit of red sticky tape. Unfortunately we haven't got the full set of emergency services though - as has been said before, red Yetis resemble post vansmore than fire engines! emoticon-0136-giggle.gif

Hi Charlie,

need a Yeti Fire & Rescue truck then see

Introducing Boris........

yeti003.jpg

At last, I have got the hang of the photo posting........(thanks Lady P emoticon-0148-yes.gif )

Picked him up on Saturday from James at Allams of Epsom. The whole buying process was a hassle free pleasure and I highly recommend them.

The Yeti is great. So far I have covered about 150 miles averaged c.42mpg and still amazed at the torque and low rev urge provided by this little engine. Boris rides well, handles very tidily and all controls are beautifully weighted. Spent some time sat in him tonight without going anywhere just to play with the seats and discover little storage areas and the like. Neighbours probably thought me a little odd. Never mind.

Really pleased with the colour after many have I chosen the right colour moments. The red is a deep crimson shade and not at all orangey or pale as some photos may suggest.

I also took a picture of the boot for another question but this was already answered. Here it is anyway for anyone wanting to know what an 'S' spec boot with spare wheel option looks like.....

Will give him a good clean and wax at the weekend so will get the camera out again then for some more exciting shotsemoticon-0103-cool.gif

You got in there before I had added my words m' Lady emoticon-0104-surprised.gif No, he didn't have the extra shine business, just a wash and polish by the look of it. I will give him a once over at the weekend with some wax to make him shine like a button.emoticon-0103-cool.gif

And here is mine, just picked up from the dealer :)

Hi shrub,

thanks for the excellent photos of 'Boris', anthor fine looking Pat-Monster.

Interesting to see the boot without the hook keeper rails, appears to make the boot space look bigger without them. Another thing that I've not seen before is the middle rear chair without the cup holder and arm rests, again gives the impression of more space. Funny how optics work :wonder:

Notice two features that I don't think are there on my Monster; that being the two rectangular 'inserts' in the side panels above and to the rear of the front hooks. Can you let me know what they are shrub; intrigued.

Regards,

TP

Hi Milovac,

Grreat pictures! - your Yeti looks like he/she blends in well there

Hope you and Shrub have fun with your new Yetis this week and we see lots more photos of them soon

In the mean time ...here's one of our Cappucinno Yeti in the sunset I took last week- thought I'd put it on to keep yours company! :)

shrub, i notice your S hasnt got the rear cup holders etc in the middle seat???...yet again our dealer said the S model indeed had those( daughter was happy) :S .....making me think twice now, as since ordering ive been told a few things are missing what he said was included :wonder:

Hi lee,

you might be able to get it as a factory order if SUK have put it on the 'system'. The Germans certainly have this as an option on there 'S' trim equivalent at 50 euros

Regards,

TP

no worries TP'...just been to a diff dealer to look at an actual S model'......tis really nice and as flash inside as our 07 focus zetec, so we can live without the 3 things missing that our dealer said it had( jumbo box, rear middle seat tablle thingymabob, and boot bag hook rails...)..

Hi TP,

Glad that you like Boris. I think that the rectangles you refer to are the pop out bag hooks. I thought that all Yetis had these?

You only get the pop out bag hooks if you don't have the rail versions of the higher trim levels.

Two cats guarding the yeti!

The live one has the job of keeping the pigeons away from the cars. Unfortunately I've noticed TWO nests in the conifers now. :S Just hope she drives them away rather than scaring them each time they fly past!

ooh eeer- feels like Freshacres thread coming back...!!!

Only funny though if it's not on yours :'(

So far we've managed to keep our 2 out of the Yeti- they are very nosy :giggle: and the 3 legged one tends to jump and hang on for dear life with his 2 front paws... the thought of shredded Gobi leather is giving me nightmares
