Here's my Yeti.

On a run today, we got an average of 50.7 miles per gallon. That will do for me!

I'm really pleased. It's quite possibly the best car I've ever had.

That is a fine looking Yeti there John. Thinking that I should have found the extra cash to go for steel grey.......

Sweet colour! Enjoy, counting the days now till I can pick up the beastie....

Detachable towbar was fitted at Allams yesterday and had a trial fit today. Very sturdy bit of kit. I had the factory towbar prep so the hole and access panel in the bumper were already there. It took 3 hours or so and was the first one they had done. Can't confirm price yet as I haven't paid yet (with an Allams rewards card I get discount on parts, so may differ from other dealers anyway).

I played around with the parking sensors today, tow hitch on and off and it doesn't change as I think has been reported (at least not on mine!) - remains at 30cm from the bumper. Kit comes with two keys, lock cover (stops crud getting into the lock when it's on the back of the motor), bag for tow hitch (but there's already a cut out slot for it in the polystyrene tray under the boot floor by the jack), bung to keep the tow bar socket clean and even a pair of gloves!

Lighting plug swings down when needed. Adaptor converts what I presume is the new/continental plug to the standard UK 7 pin variant.

In Sweden, all 4x4 Yeti's are equipped with Westfalia detachable towbar as standard.

I think there is i problem with it.......it´s too high (49cm [19 inches] above ground in center of the towing ball)

At least 5 cm ( 2 inches) too high

The Octavia Scout have the same problem

The center of the "ball" should between 35cm - 42cm at gross weight (about 500 kg)

by the way - nice pictures!

Look what I spotted today! My Storm Blue Yeti is at the dealers. Collecting it Friday. The colour is gorgeous - the pics don't do it justice as it was raining when I took them. There was another storm blue S Yeti opposite too!

Edit;

pics not loading!

will sort with Plumber's help

Hi Charlie,

looks fantastic; the colour reminds me of my first Haldex equipped Skoda, an Octavia 4x4 Turbo hatch, think that was call Admiral Blue.

Glad you managed to upload the photos, worth the effort :)

Regards,

TP
