Here's the deal

White facelift ex-demonstartor vRS CR DSG hatch (59 plate) with xenons, bluetooth, Columbus, tints, black wheels, Eiback lowering springs, rear parking sensors, 3500 miles for my car (see sig) +£5k

I'll remove the MFD3 and anthracites before letting it go, and put the original 17's back on

Value of options alone on the hatch are about £3500

I'm almost on 12k miles

It's not that I don't like white, it's just that there's getting to be a lot of them about

It is one gorgeous looking car in the flesh though

Unfortunately, it's a diesel :(

That does look nice fair play ......................................I'm with Babs tough sorry.

Unless you're going to buy a Golf then I say go for it Bry.

Ditto

How does me not liking diesel (which has decreased in economy of late) make me a luddite?

:p

Bloody hell , if you do consult the mrs dont tell her 12k miles just cost you 5 grand ,leave it at least a year mate , i.m thinking about an estate , but my miles are only 21k and that wont be reflected in the trade in or the sale really , still a big no from me mate, the balance between use and cost is way out there spud.

I must be having a mid-life crisis :'(

only if your gonna live till your 96 , i get that idea about every 2 weeks mate was worse with my bikes , seem to have calmed down a bit now , i genuinely like my car it is so rounded in what and how it works , and running costs are reasonable as well.

Tempting thing is though Pete, that I'd be getting a facelift car, a year and several miles younger, with so many extras that I'd have no need to tinker with it, and I'm being offered not far short of what I paid for my car in the first place

The only question is - Do I need it ?

Yep , and parting with 5k to do almost exactly what you can do now , and maybe not as well as the estate is more practical and a years not a lot and its white and 9k is not a lot of miles and your buying more depreciation, nah mate

Stupid question. If asking yourself; do I need it. Off course you dont.

BUT you WANT it (which is much more important)

(and it has maxidot, electric rear windows, jumbo box, climate control emoticon-0140-rofl.gif )

Put some winter tyres on your anthracites and you will have the entire package!!

GO for it emoticon-0148-yes.gif (you only live once)

Listen to the little red guy. The blondes you can pick up later with the new car emoticon-0140-rofl.gif

do it, the hatch doesnt exactly have a small boot, plus those wheels look ace

I must be having a mid-life crisis :'(

No you're not - you're coveting a diesel skoda

It is very nice btw

If this was offered to me, I'd bite their hands off.

GO FOR IT!!!

Dont listen to the petrolheads,,they are blinkered..

They also pay more insurance

More tax

More petrol to buy

IMO...Its a no brainer!!!

GO FOR IT!!!

I'd say no for one reason, it's not an estate and although it is a hatch it looks like a saloon. At 68 I don't yet consider myself old enough to drive a saloon or anything that looks like one. :giggle:
