cliney, have a look at this link:

Then go over to the fabia II forum here, there's a fair bit of chat about this if you search around. Most of it is divided between people who think this will be a cracking and fast motor, and those who lament the fact it won't be diesel like the old Vrs.

it will have supposedly 178bhpish so my local stealer said

Yeah thats correct with 2 turbo's on a 1.4 petrol engine :wonder:

Incorrect.

It's not confirmed yet, but will most likely be closer to 150/160 like the Ibiza FR (and not the Cupra).

And it's a supercharger, and a turbocharger... not twin-turbo.

Well according to autocar... its due in july

Skoda Fabia vRS

On sale July

Price £16,000

The hot Fabia will return next summer with more aggressive styling than its predecessor. Power comes from a petrol powerplant, a 178bhp 1.4-litre twincharger unit shared with the Seat Ibiza Cupra. Expect 0-60mph in 7.0sec and 140mph.

Well thats it then, Autocar have never got something like this wrong before ;)

I look forward to seeing a front bumper thats more aggressive than the Fabia 1 vRS!

my guess was 2.0 tdi 140bhp version, 17" wheels, lowered slightly, chrome exhaust end piece and slightly larger front and rear bumpers, vrs interior. Priced at £14,995 but i'm wrong. £16,000 is a bit expensive for what it is compared to the seat ibiza.
