So how fast is an AMD'd Fabia ? This fast

Featured Replies

Myself and Rooboy did some testing on a private road on Saturday and got some great results. Traction was a problem as I couldn't get the power down easily but I did managed to get a good 0-60 time.

Video 2.3 mb 0-60 in WMV format (Media Player)

Chuffed is the word I like to use :D

Once the engine has a few more miles on it and I have decent tyres a sub 6.5 should be obtainable.

Sounded like you changed into third, couldn't you get it to 60 in second? Would be even quicker as you are saving a gear change ;)

Group buy on Steadycams ;)

I'll let someone else take that 1 on, I am still trying to find Seatbelt protectors with the V logo,, or get them dome specifically. :(

It was the sheer G Force that made the camera shake :D

Nice video lads

Be interesting to see what you get on the rollers.

Be even quicker without the passenger.... But

how would you hold the camera and change gear at the same time?

Nice video mate, I have not timed mine , but I will give it a go when we get some nice weather!!!! but it must be pretty quick If i can beat a CTR :-)

very good, would be good to try that in mine, have to sort something out once i get my car back.

That is muckin' farvellous... :D:thumbup:

What's the general consesus on when to change up to get a good time then? I noticed Ivan went roughly 0-20 in 1s, 20-45 in second, then changed to third. I know others have suggested getting out of first ASAP in the past.

IIRC ToXXins AMD powered Ibiza TDI130 got 17x-odd on the JBS rollers today...

edit... this was for a proper custom map..

OK I am the only one in the car !

How did I do it ? Take a look at this and all well be revealed

Like I said 6.7 but could of been quicker but the tyres are the standard ones which aren't brilliant.

As to gear change I am not sure the fabia will do 60 in 2nd

Excellent result, nice to see a video as we at home can time it :D i made it 6.69

Have you uprated the standard brakes in any way shape or form, if not how are you finding the standard ones? A nightmare i bet :)

They are standard brakes and personally they are fine for me but I spoke to Tarox the other week and they are producing some better compand which will match the Ferodo DS2500 that you can get for the octavia, braking will be alot better with these

Impressive for sure but bear in mind 60 isn't really 60, you could be ~0.5 sec longer to real 60.

Spins up almost as fast as mine......

:) Is that the AmD one click?

One of the guys i work with saw me watching that from over my shoulder, and he said "what the hell is that in?" so i told him, and said it was wet and slight wheelspin. I dont think he believed me :D
