BP Ultimate diesel is 91.9 pence per litre around these parts.

About 2 months ago I was paying 79.9 pence per litre.

Now the cheapest I can find it 84.9 but 87.9 is most common.

I filled the Fabia sunday and the price was 59 pence per litre. Half a year ago the price was often around 47 pence. Here in Denmark gasoline is much more expensive than diesel.

We always used to pay 1 pence per litre more for diesel than petrol.

When the prices rose recently this increased to a minimum of 2p more , with some garages charging 5p more for diesel than petrol. In the last few days the price of petrol has risen to match diesel.

Try Marlborough Wiltshire for fuel

Unleaded 95.9p per litre

Dielsel 98.9p per litre

Funnily enough most people here don't get their fuel from the towns only garage as 10 miles down the road it's the more usual mid 80s

Well doing a search on that AA petrolbusters site, cheapest in Hemel and Milton Keynes is 85.9 - Tesco and Shell are the same. That would make Shell's Diesel Extra the best value (whether or not you really believe the blurb is another matter), at least they don't charge extra for the priviledge like BP (who incidentally are selling at 86.9 for the standard stuff around Milton Keynes - no wonder they're making record profits :thumbdwn: ).

Thought the prices AA quoted were for bog standard diesel which will be Shell's City Diesel? If the Extra is the same price, then I'll have to hunt around for some round here

Not had it round here for 12 months or so :confused:

Anyway Extra is no more expensive than std diesel.

It may well be... Last time I filled up at Shell was at in Reading (about 6 months ago!) and they had both City and Extra .... that must be the only time I've treated the car to Extra The two may now have been "merged" in which case it is better value ..... assuming it is actually better diesel
