 I wouldn't have wanted silver rails - they'd have looked too cheerful :S

i got mine (candy white) on wednesday so i want it to remain as rare as possible :D

For some strange reason you'll find that it will slowly, during everyday driving, start turning into the same colour as Brimmas car!

Only regular stern warnings from Mr Washmitt and the Detail Possee seem to have any effect.

What?

Not brave enough for yeloow?

What's up with you guys over there? No wonder you can't win the cricket, or the rugby or the GFC!! :)

C'mon, you yeller fellas. Be brave. Go Yellow! Or Ceski Banan*, as my Csech friend calls it.

You'll never look back.

Luscious women will thrust themselves upon you. Cool dudes will stare with envy from their Prosches, Bentley owners will give way to you and children will point at your car and smile as you smugly drive by.

I used to be a 10 pound weakling, now look at me......

And I can always find my car in a carpark, even at night!!!

Hehehe!

For me, it was more a case of I don't want to attract that much attention from the police, I do enough miles that sticking out like a sore thumb is not really desirable...

Oh and I also had a small nagging doubt that if I turn up at a customer in a car that colour they might start worrying about who they were letting loose on their computers and stand over my shoulder watching every keyboard press :)

I never knew that buying a yellow car would turn me into a Fanny Magnet !

Too late to change my factory order now, damn.

That's unless they happen to be driving any of these then you'll be the envious one!

My dad used to have a yellow Ford Capri. He actually resprayed it yellow; it was originally a metallic bronze colour.

The one thing that I do remember was that it in the summer it was always covered in flies, as the were attracted to the yellow.

John999boy

I do like those Porsches, maybe their owners would not stare at you! (Ferrari F430s also look damn good in yellow, although how could anyone go past red - unless they are buying a spare, of course)

But that Bentley - hmm. That owner wouldn't stare, I agree - probably driven by a rapper or a mega rich sheik. Pretty lurid Would definitely stand out.

Raglits

Mr Plod doesn't seem to pay any undue attention to my Ceski Banan - probably thinks it is driven by a colourblind housewife. And of course, I always obey the law, officer. I just bought the vRS because of the colour.....

ChrisRs - enjoy the grey one. Hope we helped you choose.

Now don't mention the Ashes!

HI David.

Don't know if you've ordered your car but Race Blue is the Signature VRS colour and gives the car an air of class. It also looks very LAID BACK COOL with a set of black Rims.

Either way it's a great motor

All this talk about yellow cars & I totally forgot that one of my first ones was a sort of mustard colour.

It didn't have the roll cage or racing seats but it was exactly like the one on the right. Now that does bring back memories

Anthracite, or yellow if you're feeling brave...

... Brimma would be happy - he's desperate to see pics of a yellow FL VRS :)

2010-Skoda-Octavia-RS-Price-Value.jpg

He'll not be too happy that you've posted a picture of that car though - as I found out here.

[i may be biased, but......

My car is a pre-FL vRS wagon in yellow and, despite generally not liking yellow on cars (or most other things as well), I really like the colour. I wanted to buy a Race Blue car, but got such a brilliant deal on this demo that I took it. I'm glad I did.

I think the yellow really suits the shape, makes it look less bland. It also shows the dirt less. And it really stands out - people love it, or hate it, but they really notice it.

In Australia, most of the press cars have been yellow, for good reasons - they stand out, grab attention and photograph well.

Your call, of course, but I encourage you to be brave.

And to resist the calls of the dullites on here :) that are trying to push you towards boring old metallic grey or black.

But of course, colour is a personal thing, so you have to choose for yourself. And what would we know?

Cheers

[not officially, but driving up the M5 around 630pm on the way home with a white shirt on was quite amusing, watching people drive up fast behind, slow down then go off after they gone past ......

Anthracite doesn't suit it???!post-50060-12657614221185_thumb.jpg

sorry ill take that back, i looked at a limited pre FL and didnt like it, but this looks nice, the wheels, red caliper and tinted rear windows would make it look MINT MAN !!!!

tinted windows on be half of my 2 little kids and not cause i want to pimp my car ...

To the original poster David, have you decided yet ?

not yet .....

had a drive round a few dealers over the last week and reading all the forums i had gone off the yellow (sorry yellow fans) but think Anthracite might be the one with tinted rear windows ... (they only show them as an option on the estate does anyone know if they are an option on the h/B) .....

but then me girlfriend saw a FL blue estate and fell in love with it ...... bloody women (no offence ladies) but she never like estates and never liked blue ....

but im treating her to lunch and flowers today so hopefully it may be Anthracite

race blue or candy white imo

Candy White, it suits the vRS so much.

I wanted race blue at first, but then thought nahh it don't quite look right with the green skoda badge.Had white before and was forever cleaning it,does look kinda cool though on the vrs.Anthracite is nice,so is black but agree with the swirl marks, yellow looks kinda cool on the vrs,red would be a no for this car.I ended up getting silver, which i think sometimes looks great when it's all been polished and waxed.. B) .

Got to be Silver its a timeless colour,

grey uuurgh, if your over 60

white, ex cop car or ice cream van

Blue, too many agreed

yellow if you are gay
