Calling all FL vRS's

Featured Replies

I think it was a 58 plate.

(just trying to recall when I saw it)

I think it was around the junction of New Hall Lane heading towards the Holiday Inn around 4 ish last Friday.

Nope! Mine's a 59, and I wasn't around there at that time.

There must be at least 2 of us!

Hopefully soon to be 3 in the not-too-distant future.

We're taking over...

I have seen 1 blue estate in the basingstoke / reading area; I want mine and i want it now emoticon-0106-crying.gif ordered on the 30th of Jan from city Skoda still don't have a build date

Bought mine from City Skoda and never did get a build date. The first useful information I got out of them after ordering it was a call saying "it's left the factory and is on it's way" 8 weeks later.

Mines is the only FL VRS I have ever seen in my area (Edinburgh/Central Scotland) to be honest there aren't that many pre-FL VRS's about either. See a few MK1's though.

Are you the same NokiaUK that's also on VWAUDIFORUM?

I drive my Black Magic FL vRS hatch from Leeds to Manchester and back most days, so should be easily seen on the M62 given that the average speed is around 50mph or less (much less on the M60), and now I've got it run in should be seen hooning around Leeds on a weekend. Seen a few non-vRS FL Octys, but no other vRSs as yet.

For those guys waiting, mine took 16 weeks from order to collection, and it seemed like an age, but I've pretty much forgotten about it now, as will you when you get your hands on yours.

Cheers.

TC

I picked mine up on 13th January and since then I've seen two in and around Leeds. One was on the private road I live on!!!! (blue saloon) and the other a white saloon on the A65, not far from me.

First time on the site for ages, trying to catch up on the gossip.

By the way I love it, the DSG box is fantastic and in all honesty I prefer it to my A4 S line. The petrol engine really works well with the DSG and the leather was worth the extra. Had loads of admiring comments from those who start off " Ohh is that a Skoda"

Only down side was when I fitted the luggage nets in the Estate I had to Physically get into the boot!!!!. Only kidding I just think it's like the tardis.

a few in nottingham

I've only seen one other (not including a couple at the dealers), in a car park. I haven't seen one on the road yet. I want to see what the DRLs look like!

Saw my first FL vRS in Norwich earlier this week - a Candy White Hatch. Then I realised it was a taxi!

There's also a pre-FL Race Blue vRS taxi around here.

I've had my black magic estate for a month now (and loving driving it), done 800 miles, mainly around Manchester. I've only seen 2 other FL vRS's (apart from the candy white demonstrator at the dealer) - one black estate back in September on the M62 (must have been one of the first in the country?), and another estate in a Tesco car park last week. I'm not sure if it was black or anthracite as it was so filthy (and it was dark...)

That would be me yes

I recognised the name as I was a member there, well still am a member, but this site is much much better for the Skoda range. vwaudiforum was great when I had my A3. I still post occasionally there as well.

Came up behind a black FL VRS hatch in Darlington the other day on a private plate JAJ? possibly while in my FL VRS estate, both headed for A66.

Weren't you too sure if you were in your FL vRS or not then! :giggle:

B****r, and I used to teach adult literacy. Very observant to notice my supply of comma's was exhausted. Could have been in the 911 though.

Was it because of your lack of punctuation that meant you had to stop? :)

Hadn't seen any until yesterday, then saw 2 blue hatches within 5 miles of each other, northbound on the A1 just south of Doncaster. And then a truck load heading south for delivery to some lucky soles!

You should, of course, be aware that your comment should read commas, not comma's, as it is referring to more than one comma. :giggle:
