Actually your "average" DB9 buyer is a little more picky on the options list than you may expect. As for Vanquish buyers, they tend to just tick every option box!

just seems to be popping up all over the place in the 'performance' press these days -is it just a trendy fad to be putting a skoda fabia forward in your list at the moment or do they really believe its better than a lot of the rest?

in performance terms , surely its no better than other VAG cars with the same engine? so why werent they there?? nice to think weve got summat special but am beginning to think that these 'top tens' arent quite the gospel i thought they were ! :confused:

The advantages of the Skoda over the other VAG cars with the same engine/underpinnings is that it is better built and has a cheaper (list) price.

But I do hear what you are saying though.

Yes the DB9 is better than a mondeo however the association with ford is a painful one (at least i would think so). I wouldnt say no thou

I'd rather have the Clio - assuming it has a proper petrol engine?

I would have got a Clio if it wasnt french and didnt look like a tarts car. Its a great shame that VAG dont have any real rivals for the Clio 182 - the closest they've got is really either the Ibiza Cupra, which is much heavier and bigger, or the VW Lupo GTI which is nowhere near as powerful.
