Ordered 24th July 2010, now scheduled build week 37.

Does anyone know how build schedules are determined or are some dealers being optimistic?

Only ask as starting to see cars orderd after mine but with an earlier build schedule. It would be good if the factory has managed to increase capacity so my build week can come further forward.

Just been advised that build will be Wk40 (w/c 4 Oct) with delivery towards end of Oct, so about a month behind expected schedule. Grrrrrr

Do Skoda have a complete lottery on build dates or is it that people seeing shorter lead-times have been lucky that there was a suitable unallocated vehicle already in the queue?

Mine, ordered 19th June, is apparently sat waiting in Germany for the next boat. Dealer said they should have it within the the week.

This is a SE 1.8Tsi with no extra options and Black Magic paint.

Another thread mentions Skoda UK customer service now stating that delivery time is 19-20 weeks.

A colleague who is considering an Audi Q5 has been given an estimated delivery date of April.

Looks like it is going to be a full 15 weeks from time of order (28 May – 10 September).

I received confirmation earlier today that our car finally arrived at the showroom yesterday evening. Only yesterday morning they didn’t know where our car was – they were promised delivery last week.

According to the salesman they will spend today getting it ready and since we ordered a car appearance treatment from Mr Cap (“MasterTreatment†and “GlassShieldâ€), they will take the car tomorrow.

If everything falls into place we should be able to pick up our car on Friday afternoon. Hopefully our long wait is at last over.

...A little over half an hour ago I received an E-mail confirming that Mr Cap had taken our car and that we were welcome on Friday at 4.30 to pick it up.

Apparently mine is in Grimsby as of yesterday morning so should be with the dealer in the next couple of days.

The cars can be on the dockside in Grimsby for up to 10 days. It all depends if you are lucky and get an early transporter slot.

Tried a Q5 and realised 10k is a lot to pay for four rings. Audi is good but the build quality of Skoda is up there with them. Too much badge snobbery around.

I'm going to sign some docs tomorrow at the dealership so hopefully they will be able to give me a clearer indication....

I have BW40 but the dealer reckons in my hands mid-November.

Final delivery date 10 September - exactly 15 weeks from time of order.

Salesman thought that we had a quick delivery compared to some of the other orders that he has. I guess we were lucky.

He mentioned that his father had ordered a Q5 back in May around the same time we place our order. Forecast delivery date - March 2011. A whole 10 months.

Still it was a long wait for us.

My Superb Elegance 140 was ordered on the 13th August but through our fleet company so I have no access to expected delivery dates :(

Why is it that similiar cars ordered through different dealer seem to have vastly different dates?

Well, I should have my Superb by this time next week - hopefully Monday at the latest!

It's in at Simpson's Preston, booked in for PDI and the valet to be confirmed for when I pick it up!

Finally... At last! the time has come...

Ordered 25th May, so making it around 17 weeks.

I collect my car on Tuesday - Superb Estate 170 Elegance DSG in Brilliant Silver with Luna alloys. Black interior, sunset glass, 3 spoke paddle shift steering wheel, front parking sensors, auto rear view mirror..

Seriously looking forward to it.. will post some pictures as soon as I get it along with a little review...
