  • Coudl you tell me what stats you put in to calibrate it. I don't know where to start.

  • I use battery monitor pro on my S3 without any problems. Sent from my Galaxy S3, not a Crapple!

  • Just downloaded Skoda 3d HD logo from Google Store - great live wallpaper for your phone and looks really impressive.

Check out Ndrive, turn your phone into a satnav, has 7 day free trial works fairly well, been trying it on my hero today

Its called Market not app store :giggle:

ASTRO as a file manager

GUARDIAN ANYWHERE is a great little unoffical app that downloads the content you want from the guardian newspaper everday, can schedule downloads over night. Can't belive its free. Also BBC news and Sky news apps but not really used them.

RAC TRAFFIC is vaguely useful for spotting hold-ups on the road.

MILEAGE is just a petrol consumption record, does some charts for you.

KARL's MORTGAGE CALCULATOR is good if you're looking at mortgage numbers (costs, capital/interest spreads, lifetime costs, amortization)

LAYAR is supposed to be "amazing" but to be perfectly frank I've never found the need for anything I can find on there. If I'm looking for something I'll typically google it via google maps and find it that way.

Used to be a free satnav (NAV4ALL) it wasn't great but did the job but its been pulled. CO-PILOT is supposed to be ok but its £24 and I haven't got that.

Other than that, plenty of little inane things to occupy your time but I don't really bother, countless other battery indicators, 3G bandwidth watchers, silly games and pointless apps (Horoscopes, jokes, quotes, foreign languages, convertors etc) although STEAMY WINDOW (oo-er) will keep my 2 yo occupied for ages.

Air Control! Keeps me going for a while when bored.

Also found a few VNC clients, but never been able to get them to work/connect/do anything.

Google Sky Map is quite good. Uses the GSM (or GPS) signal to determine your position, then the accerlormeter to measure your angles, then shows you the stars/constelations your looking at. If you're into that kinda thing it's quite interesting.

Shop Savvy is something else I like, although more a gimic really - one of those barcode price scanners. Only use it to keep the iPhone people at bay!

That's about all I have, and a free tetris game.

Is talking Karl available for Android yet? It’s the funniest app I have ever seen on the iphone :D

A good one for working in an office is Locale. It lets you automaticaly change your system settings and volume controls depending on where you are.

Does anyone use a security app?.. pref with remote wipe functionality?

I was "relieved" of my desire on sat night, and its concerned me a bit being that the pin-pattern thing isnt the most secure of ideas (think fingermarks on screen) and its just got me thinking about just how much data is stored on the device, even though ive changed all of my passwords and blocked the sim/imei - no doubt with a bit of noose they could still get into the phone.

Oh dear Col, sorry to hear that. I don't use one myself, although I'm now thinking it's a very good idea! :(
