Worst case, the new box under the seat to be purchased 300+!!

Are these "new" Proteus' any different from the old ones? i.e. no longer delaminate just by virtue of being outside!!

Otherwise what's new about them, given that they look the same?

Cheers,

Niall

Does this mean an Elegance ordered now will come with the Proxima wheels instead of the current Crateris? Defo prefer these new ones and I've just ordered today!

We've actualy been advised by a dealer in Melbourne that the new XDL (Extended Differential Lock) will be standard on MY2011 Octavia RS... June 2010 production that is now featured in the new Golf GTI.....this is one feature that would interest me.

Don't think MFSW includes BT as standard.

These changes take place for WK22 build and beyond. If you place an order now, your build week is likely to be somewhere around week 26, assuming you don't get a cancelled order, so it will include these changes.

Many thanks, am liking the new style alloys!

I am sure XDL is already standard on all UK cars (mentions it in the new brouchure on the internet).

As well as changing a few things, another item of previously standard kit is being deleted though so if you have an S or SE on a later build date then dont expect to find these fitted as standard anymore.

rear reading lights removed from S and SE

That's an option, but I can see no reason why a software upgrade won't do the same thing.

If the S and SE are loosing the reading lights, as the vRS is based on the S will it loose the lights too?

Attachment shows what standard and optional lighting will be in a graphical format.

No pictures of new colour, only info is that it's called Safari (sounds exotic!)

That looks like a modified head unit; an extra knob in the middle. Any idea what that's for ?

The head unit shown is the Amundsen unit which I don't think is supplied in UK cars:

See here

Looks to be a darn sight better than the awful Bolero.

Bit of an update on this as regards the LED's.

I ordered a new Scout yesterday and showed Steve at Rainworths the info on the LED's. He looked it up and the same info is on their computer system.

He did however say take it all with a pinch of salt and believe it when it appears !

He's going to keep me posted because if it turns out to be an option I would like to add it too my order.

Anyone else have any more info ? Will it be a paid option or come as standard ?

I guess Steve will need the order number for the LED's if it's an option. Will it just appear on his system ?

I would hate to miss out on a bit of bling :-)

I have sent an email to my dealer for some info as I ordered a Scout on Friday, will keep you posted if I hear anything.

Cheers Gaz. I'll do the same.

I ordered my Octavia Estate Elegance last Weds, and specced the 3 spoke MFSW (MaxiDot Controls) as an optional extra.. Does this mean I this will now be a standard feature?

I work in a Skoda dealership

Since you work in a dealership, any chance of asking skoda to let all UK Columbus users have an update with full 7 digit post cods and speed cameras

And Bolero users have the necessary update too!

Is the Bolero really that bad? Bar the GSMIII and SDCard Issue I didn't think it was all that bad.

You get the occasional attack of the rice krispies! Snap, crackle & pop (not the type on R1 or commercial stations!).

Had that a couple of times now, stopped a while back. It's a shame that a good car like the Octy is let down badly by a so called ICE system. emoticon-0120-doh.gif

This sounds like it should please a number of iPhone users:

Octavia MY11

SOPCW22/10

New GSM III + functionality

• HFP -Hands Free Profile, now possible to connect almost all commercially available mobile phones

(rSAP is not necessary)

• A2DP - Audiostreaming (music via Bluetooth in full quality, from phone, MP3 player, notebook or PDA)

1. Enhanced voice control

2. Reading text messages

3. Reading phonebook

• Detection of requested name and assign it to a stored contact (it is not necessary to pre-record the

name)

Good info.. I ordered bluetooth (GSMIII on my 3 week old car) on the basis it would work with my sony W810i - and it doesn't.. I'm going to be calling Skoda UK this week to ask what they can do about mis-selling me 450 quid's worth of tech... one option might be to press them for an upgraded system... I can't for the life of me understand why an RSAP-only kit was ever specc'd - it's obvious it should be able to fall back to basic Hands Free... :-|

It wouldn't be so bad if the brochure was updated rather than just list a very limited range of handsets that are suppose to work.

GSMIII is nothing to do with the Bolero, you'll have the same issues whichever HU you have as it's a bolt on module to the ICE

I've not had that yet... Apart from the SD card issue, my main beef with the ICE is the silly positioning of the speakers, but again, that would affect whatever HU I had
