Fabia vRS (OFFICIAL UK PRICES AND SPEC)

Featured Replies

Well it's actually less than I thought it was going to be. Turns out the new Fabia vRS is.....

£15,700

The estate is a little more obviously and comes out at £16,495. Both variants are excluded from the VAT offer but still compared to the Ibiza/Polo it seems good value and the performance figures are pretty good 180bhp @ 6,200rpm and 250Nm @ 2,000-4,500rpm combined with 7 speed DSG should make it a little rocket.

Paddles are standard! Also standard is MDI, 17" alloys, curtain airbags, ESP, XDS, hill hold control, LED foglights with DRL function, maxi-dot, sunset glass, TPM amongst other things...

Ordering is available from now. So, who's going to be the brave one and order one without seeing/test driving?

You get the usual silver alloys standard but you can opt for dark chrome, black or white alloys as a factory option.

The colours available are:-

Rallye Green Metallic

Race Blue Metallic

Black Magic Pearl Effect

Brilliant Silver Metallic

Sprint Yellow

Corrida Red

Candy White

You can order a black roof as a factory option on the Rallye Green, Brilliant Silver, Sprint Yellow, Corrida Red and Candy White. You can have a white roof on the Green, Blue or Black models.

CO2 figures are 148g/km for both hatch and estate, which put the car into band F meaning RFL is £125 and there is no additional showroom tax on this vehicle.

MPG figures are:

-Urban 36.7

-Extra-Urban 54.3

-Combined 45.6

Performance-

0-62MPH tackled in 7.3 seconds

Top speed is 139mph for the hatch and 140mph for the estate.

I've made some additions to my post.

You can't have silver roof only body colour, white or black.

Yes you can choose between 4 different wheel colours.

Thanks James. I'm pleaed about the wheels but disappointed about the silver roof and other restrictive colour options that Skoda UK are imposing (white roof not available with red paint for example), no anthracite at all...

Yeah I hadn't noticed about the grey being absent. But still, I can order a white one with white wheels! Or am I just showing my Essex roots?

I like the idea of white/white too, like an unliveried rally car...

Of the options Skoda UK have given us I like any of the white roofed options but black roof doesn't really do it for me. Unless the car is also black :D

UK brochure: http://www.skoda.co.uk/pdf/brochure_fabia_vrs.pdf

Brochure states it comes with black mirrors as standard - James, do you know if we get to choose the mirror colours too like they do in Europe?

Official launch is 28th July.

What demo should I order?

White with white wheels? Or Red with grey wheels? Hmm....

Red/grey is too boring! Go bolder and make the car stand out round town, rallye green white wheels & roof is the way to go, like the rally car :)

or u could go for the green with black roof and alloys that would look good imo

It looks like a good package, great engine and 7 speed DSG seems an excellent combination.

I still don't personally like the aesthetics of the car, though. Price is right imo.

I think I might get it signwritten like the rally car for the launch, that could be fairly cool?

I'll put on a bit of a do for you guys if you are interested in our launch event. I can put on some food and beverages, test drives in various cars. Free vehicle health checks and free advice from our technicians etc. If you guys fancy it let me know and I'll piece together something with Karen who deals with all our marketing and events.

That sounds great James. I'd be up for that (work permitting so pick a Sunday) :giggle:

Thats not bad, a lot less than some were saying :giggle: Still, its beyond my means tbh, couldnt justify nearly 17k for the estate as thats what I need plus the hatch is fuglier

The price is ok in comparison with other stuff but could have been even better if DSG had been an option rather than compulsory and why no vat free offer?

I suppose we'll have to wait for the internet brokers to sort something out.

Get it done like Guy Wilks' Skoda UK Motorsport Fabia S2000, except where it says 'Skoda' replace it with 'Allams Skoda' :)

The reason that it is a 7 speed DSG and not a manual is that there would only be room in the engine bay for a 5 speed manual.

not bad but still steep price imo

Not when a 3 year old vRS SE with nearly 45k miles is up at this price

So would you be happier if the price was £19k but they did a national campaign where it was only £15,700?

The price could always be better but the factory in CZ isn't a charity obviously they need to make money and I suspect they spent a fair bit engineering and designing the new vRS. I personally don't think the asking price is bad at all. I was just comparing it to the Alfa Romeo MiTo Cloverleaf, as some of you know Allams are a dual franchise between Skoda and Alfa. The vRS is just over £2k cheaper than the Cloverleaf and has more space and 2 extra doors. It's also faster and better equiped, also it's got the DSG gearbox which is usually a £1,100 option or so. As far as the drive goes I don't know, I suspect it will be rather good, the Octavia handles well and the Octavia vRS handles very well so I am hoping to be impressed with the Fabia. It isn't the most beautiful car in th world but it looks a bit different to the usual plastic hot hatches.

I'm looking forward to trying it out!

imo that price is daylight robbery, 3year old with 45k is just short of 11k, i know its an se but i still wouldnt pay that

11k!!!! ouch! you guys with SE's will only have a little to pay for a new one then :p
