Fabia vRS (OFFICIAL UK PRICES AND SPEC)

Featured Replies

Where is that? I get either the basic price for the VRS or the accessory prices for the other Fabias.

In the general Fabia section go to 'Facts and Figures' then 'Standard and optional features', then select vRS from the drop down menu.

Does anyone know how much the metallic paint option is, or is it included with the vRS whatever colour you choose? :)

Thanks. I have been fooled by Skoda's website before by inconsistencies between web content and brochures.

I think the metallic price is £410 plus £355 for a different colour roof. The words rip and off come to mind.

I've found it, however It has some strange optional extras:

Storage box under Passenger Seat = £30

Storage box under right (drivers) Seat = £30

Storage boxes under front seats = £50

Surely these fitted standard, unless they mean boxes (like the draw under radio in Mk1 Elegance) not the under seat storage compartment (like on current vRS).

At least they have an option for rear electric windows, (it's been discussed on Mk1 forum about early models).

Standard equipment is a 6J x 15" Temporary Steel Spare wheel. Tyre repair kit (without spare) is £80. The rest of the range have the opposite, and a spare wheel is £45 extra.

When at the showroom yesterday, it seemed that the currently delivered Fabias have a full-size steel wheel as standard. Of course, they could not guarantee this. My first Mk1 2.0i had a full-size alloy spare!

I wish the Mk1 vRSs had an alloy one, mine's got a steel one with a silly 50mph max speed sticker on it (same sized wheel and tyre as the rest). :swear:

This seems to be the case in other cars. Although the spare has the same size and type of tyre, it is limited to 50mph. I have never followed the reasoning behind this.

Im surprised to see xenon lights are not an option on it, unless ive missed them that is.

theres no max on any other fabia's I've had, Isn't it a standard stock steel wheel? :)

£80 for a tyre repair kit..guess that saves weight?! :p

A few pounds over, I reckon.

From the Mk2 Owners Manual:

Unidirectional tyres*

If you have such tyres on your vehicle, please refer to the notes below:

• The spare wheel provided with a car fitted with unidirectional tyres has different dimensions. The wheel is provided with a warning sticker.

• The warning label must not be covered after installing the wheel.

• Do not drive faster than 80 km/h with this spare wheel and pay particular attention while driving. Avoid accelerating at full throttle, sharp braking and fast cornering.

• The inflation pressure for this spare wheel is identical to the inflation pressure of the standard tyres.

• Use this spare wheel only to reach the nearest specialist garage as it is not intended for continuous use.

This was also in the Mk1 Owners Manual.

I don't think my Fabias have had unidirectional tyres, otherwise how could I reverse into my garage?

hmm , I've not seen any warning stickers on the spare wheels either... maybe its just to save their backs if something went wrong I guess

My Mk1 Fabia vRS has a steel wheel with a 205/45 16 Michelin Pilot Premacy (unidirectional) tyre on it. It is the same size as the rest and still has a 80 KPH/50MPH max speed on it. This subject has been discussed on the Mk1 forum many times before, however I still don't think there has been a definitive answer about why.

Seriously considering an estate as a downsizing move from successive Octavias (vRS and currently an L&K estate).

Would have like to seen the Amundsen satnav and leather on the options though.

its good to be back, i am looking at getting the estate vrs in white with black wheels. I currenty have a fiesta st which i got after selling on my old fabia vrs. What are the estimate build times on these models, i was looking at the seat ibiza cupra and they were talking of a 4-6 month build time

From the looks of it, if you order now it would be september or october at the earliest. It will depend totally on demand levels.

We ordered our Fabia 1.2TSi Elegance DSG in mid-May and initial build is estimated at mid-September so that's 4 months. However the dealer says this is an estimate and actual build may come down a few weeks so we are hoping to get the plate change on 1st Sep.

Typical SUK :giggle:
