Your just jealous and you know it :p

I refer you to my Facebook status: Neo_VR Has decided after much deliberation to not buy an ipad and spend the money on BOOze instead.. think itll take me longer to drink 200 pints than it would to get bored of it. emoticon-0136-giggle.gif

I like it.... I want to play with one.... but I couldn't warrant that much money on one when the biggest is 64gb and most laptops now are about 500! lol!

I had a play with one in PC World the other day.

It's alright but i wouldn't spend that much money on it and would much prefer a decent little netbook for half the cost.

It really is just an oversized iPod touch and doesn't really bring anything new to the Apple line up.

I have more than 1202 songs but I only put on the iPad stuff I regularly listen to.

Just in case people doubt I have one

I am sure people don't doubt you have one, perhaps people don't care you have one?

Seems like this thread was only started to wave ones willy.

I walked into an apple shop the other day, spent 2 mins looking at one and then walked straight out, wondering what the fuss was all about.

It's not as verstile as a laptop or notebook, it's too big to be used as a phone.

You can't print from it, there is only a software based keyboard (although I hear apple are releasing a physical one that will probably cost too much), no cd / dvd drive and no memory card holder so any video/games/music you do want to watch/play/listen to has to be physically stored on the 16/32/64gb storage, and it will need to be connected to a computer to get a lot this data onto the ipad in the first place.

For around £100 more you can have the added bonus of the possibility of a 3g connection for when you are on the move.

All it is is a large ipod touch with a better screen to watch video on where even the most expensive (£700) version is less capable than a £200 netbook with a £5 bluetooth dongle and a 3g data dongle

Good luck to you that you brought one, but it's not for me.

I hope it's keypad is better than the iPhone. I persevered with mine for a year but went back to my old Nokia because I kept miskeying when writing texts. Now I use the iPhone simply as an iPod Touch.

If I wanted to do that I'd put different pictures of stuff I have on here :p

The thread was started in order to show that you can actually get a lot of stuff on it not wave ones willy. I'm 31 not 5

There is already a physical keyboard for it which cost £50

I don't need a 3G connection as I have an unlocked MIFI so wouldn't be tied to just one network.

Your making the mistake a lot of people make ( including myself at first ) in comparing it to a netbook which is not what it is trying to be.

But as you say each to there own it's not for you but me personally I find it extremely useful :)

oh I know it's not trying to replace a netbook and it is closer to an archos media player than a pc, but it is the the closest thing to it in what it is capable of which is why I used it as a comparison.

They do seem capable of much more and I would like to see what future versions of it will bring as it is a flash bit of kit.

If they were what I would consider a more reasonable price for what it can do as well as hard disk storage, I may well have been interested in one.

Sorry I may have taken you the wrong way.

Merely browsing through the General section for the first time in 2-3 years and noticed 3 threads in as many pages about your iPad, then on this one a statement suggesting people disbelieve you own one, when how could anyone doubt you own one with the amount of threads about the thing?

You made a comment about the camera you own on one of them, then a comment replying to mine about the different stuff you have.

Money talks, wealth whispers.

If you think I'm trying to "demonstrate" my wealth then yes you have taken me the wrong way.

The 3 threads are one saying I had just had it delivered a day early which I was surprised about. The second was this one saying about how I was surprised at how much stuff I could fit on it. The third is a review as most of the reviews I could find before I got one were done by computer magazines and not people who actually own one. So that was done as a bit of help for people If they are unsure about wether to buy one or not.

The reason I put the pics on this thread were because some of the previous comments appeared that people dis-believed I had one. I was just proving I'm not some fantasist that tells stories to look good, unlike some people on the net.

When I replied to your post I was actually being sarcastic about pictures of stuff I would put on. You called it "willy waving" so I said if I was I'd out different pics on and ended the sentence with a :p. Hopefully you get what I mean now :giggle:

So yes I'm afraid you have taken my threads the wrong way and hopefully this one clarifies it :)
