It would have to be an S3 for me, given your options...... But there again, for me,

I am thinking SL500.....

S3 for me, so much more class and image than the other 2

If I wanted a fun motor for about the 10k mark then Id consider the horrid looking but mega fun BMW 130M as it can keep up with most

and is a lot of fun to drive!

By looking at the votes and what people are saying it's S3 all the way then

As for going for the S3 I think it would probs be one thats a year or two old as they have already lost the newness value if you know what I mean ?

All I'd need to do is find one in the colour and spec that I want, I'm thiking solar orange ? adaptive lights (daytime running lights) RS4 seats, sat nav and a few other bits and pieces

The S3 is a very expensive car even second hand. also expensive when they go wrong, which VAGs do frequently. however for traction and tunabilityupto 360hp on std turbo whilst still being a very prestige car.

As std the VXR is a little bit pants imo however when modified the VXR becomes a very competent car. all it needs are a few small power mods, and some chassis mods such as braces, ARBs and an LSD and it is a totally differet animal

the meganne 225 even unmodified will run rings around modded vehicles when it comes to dynamics. me personally id be choosing th R26 instead. all the plus points of the R26R, but with none of the bad. there are not many hot hatches that will be able to cope with the r26 230 renault sport with the cup chassis. The mmeganne will tune upto around 270hp, and with that id rate it better than pretty much all the offerings. pants interior though.

what about the cupra, same tunability of the S3 but could be bought for £6000 less.

or the focus ST, sound lovely, great interior, lots of mods and forums available but a little thirsty

or the mazda 3mps trumps all the others for std power, and even more so for standard kit, also underated/unknown. suffers with depreciation though, and high tax band

my choice would be between the meganne R26 cup (purely for dynamics) or the Mk2 mazda 3 MPS for the sleeper effect

Be the megane for me out of that list, reviews are superb as is forum feedback, just depreciation on new is horrendous

the R26R has a cage, but the R26 doesnt its anormal road going hot hatch a step up from the meganne sport 225

the R26 has 230hp, the stiffer chassis, better brakes and an LSD as standard. all the interior remains in place

Sounds good to me the VXR-R is 300bhp with LSD, uprated suspension, milltek exhaust etc etc

I have been to have a look at a new VXR arctic today and I can only just fit in it with not a lot of room to move about so to speak !

My head was just about touching the roof and my knees were on the bottom of the steering wheel and thats with it being on its highest setting and the seat being on its lowest so the VXR-R could well be out of the picture

Decided against the megane now aswell so could do with some new options lol
