Well pretty much the same here. As you may of noticed the whole layout of the site has changed. Based on user feedback and a desire to get out at weekends we have changed some things.

What better way to kick of a new year hangover than total confusion for the regulars, well rest assured it's all here, nothing has been lost, in fact it's been added too.

I think the layout is ok, but on my lcd screen the background is very bright. More like starring at a switched on lightbulb. Personal opinion, I think it needs to be darker.

Perhaps its worse for me because I only have full sight in one eye. I find looking at such bright websites on any monitor very difficult for more than a few minutes at a time.

Just found the old style, so at least I can view the site without getting a headache. I guess I'll continue with this till it stops working, then have to visit the site much less in the future.

I normally hate it when the site layout gets updated (all those things to re-remember) but this one is actually superb. Well done Colin.

Opened the site up this morning to the fresh new look, and initial reaction was "Hell that looks cleaner meaner and more efficient".

I,ve had a quick ganders round, and I think its a great improvement and actually easier to read the posts. As for the background being too bright, I know its now 9:20, but on my TFT screen it seems the same shade as before.

Well done to all those for the time and effort, you have done yourselfs proud.

But... I think the white background on the 'Reply To Thread' page is a little too bright or maybe it's just my sore eyes this morning...

Looks very nice...a big to all involved. Like the full-width screens without the side menu...looks great on my little iBook now.

Forum post colours are the same, true the page background has gone up to a shade of white. I have dropped it a few shades, does that help?

I've also added a 2005-Grey which applies it's formatting to the forums and is much darker.

I know it didn't look broken on the surface...but to go forward and give me some Freedom it had to change. Since I was the only one who could add pages of content, events etc I was spending alot of time repeating work. The articles section I added was supposed to have a new all singing all dancing version, but it never arrived so I had to move on. Some would say that unlike the goverment I listen to feedback far to much.

Now not alot has actually changed in this forum page view, the side menu is now above you, and that is quite honestly the lot for the forums/gallery/reviews/inks areas. So where before you had search, new posts etc on the left, they are now a few inches from the top, right under your breadcrumb trace path. A major plus is that this should look better on your low resolution screen. Okay all the other areas have changed I'll give you that.

As to your lost smilies I don't know...will set our Carol onto it, but nothing has changed in the smiliey front.

Hi Col. Well done on the new set up. Much better now that I've found where everything is, not having to scroll across to read posts is a big improvement.

New colours are a nice change as well, a big from me then.
