What are the current delivery times for the Fabia ? We are considering the Scout and Elegance Estate and ordering in the next week or so. Does choice of colours make any difference (eg longer for Black) ?

Colours will have no affect at all. Engine and gearbox choice will do though.

Ordered a Fabia vRS in last week in July.

Delivery last week of October

(Build week 39....W/B 27th Sept)

We originally wanted a white Fabia and at the time there was a 12 week wait, so we got a black one as we could have it in 3 weeks.

4 Months for our 1.2TSI 105 DSG Elegance.

Ordered vRS 29th July on launch day.

Given 3 month wait but being built this week ( No. 37 ) so hopefully be delivered end Sept/first week October

I was told it's because of the 1.2 TSI DSG engine, seems they can't keep up with demand.

Ordered White Fabia RS estate on 6.8.2010. Given delivery day on end of january. Almost six months waiting (country Finland)

4 months - same as me - shows they haven't been able to increase production. I suspect the DSG box is used in so many group cars that they just can't build them fast enough.

At least you know you are not buying a car that was built in January and sat around in a compound just waiting to be bought!

I was chatting to my Skoda dealer the other day and it seems nearly all models are affected by long waiting times now, with 16 weeks seeming to be about the minimum and up to nearly 6 months in the worst cases IIRC! i can't remember which were worst affected, but I think Fabia 105 dsgs were amongst them unfortunately.

Anything with 1.2TSI DSG = Long, long, long time....

Got told todaY 15-16wks a 1.6TDi Elegance Estate - so ordered it double time in an attempt to get it before VAT hike on 4th Jan. Fingers crossed!

Hi comrades you have to order before end of this month to get the vat discount,regardless of when the car arrives,I have to wait between 12 weeks and ? to get my fabia black pearl 1.6 cr tdi elegance 105bhp black interior with extras sunset glass esp + , mudflaps and sat nav not sure on the st nav as its not listed in the brochure as an option but is on-line why!!!!! at £500,in the vrs its an option but not in the fabia only when you configure your car on the web site we were going to get the baige interior but may look a bit naff.

Latest information I have is that the build date is mid Nov

Spoke to Skoda UK earlier today and the person on the phone said Skoda UK have used all this year's allocation for new Fabia cars and are trying to get more allocation for this year.

I presume the double impact of the 2.5% increase in VAT and the discount has really increased UK sales.

When did you order your vRS?

Today the 14th of September. My ever so friendly dealer gave me the good news of the up-dated build times. These have changed from what I was told last week.

I had to place the order before the end of the month when Skoda close the window on 2.5% VAT increase, they will be honouring current VAT for this years orders/ next year deliveries :S

Ordered 1.2 TSI DSG Elegance in White with a few options on 18th June have been in regular contact with build dates moving round from week 34 - 37 and dealer has rung today to say that it has been built this week and is waiting at docks in Germany to be shipped. Looks like a few days later and I would have had a much longer wait. Fingers crossed that it isnt sat at the docks for a long time now.

The UK allocation of 500 Fabia vRS's per year has ended already..so anyone ordering now will have to wait for a new MY

Whilst this is not good news for anyone ordering at the moment, it does keep the second hand market a bit more bouyant
