Went to the local dealership yesterday to order a Scout (1.6 Tdi 105hp) - and was told no Scout deliveries with this engine before March - a 24 week order wait !

We ordered an Elegance Estate instead and were told delivery by mid-November - 8 weeks - a bit of a difference ! We could choose any colour, as it was a factory order - and went for Cappucino Beige.

We ordered a 1.6 Tdi 105hp Elegance Estate yesterday - and were told it would be a factory order, but only an 8 week wait, with delivery in November. I don't know if it's less than your quoted 16 weeks because it's an Estate (I assume you were after a Hatch ?).

If like me you ordered this week and daft enough to want a sunroof to delay it further, expect new registration time

26 weeks minimum.

I ordered my 105TSI DSG in white with sunroof in first week in June and took delivery last Saturday via Drive the Deal. Could these long delivery times be due to an individual dealers allocation? as my local dealers quoted up to 20 weeks.

I ordered mine today elegance 105 tdi black asked about the delivery times anything after 12 wks,but the dsg's OMG youv'e a hell of a wait,5 months is being mentioned for the 1.2's, dsg's and if you want a sunroof forget it,and the yeti is stopping the panoramic roof system as they have major problems with the electrics the 1.6 tdi cr engines are also not coming to the factories quick enough so holding back orders, the VAT offer is coming to an end and everybody is ordering skoda's,so my car would have cost at least 3.5k extra its totally crazy skoda should have seen this coming end of sept you will not receive the vat discount they will no honour the discount after this glad I jumped when I did!

I ordered my White Fabia Estate 1.6 tdi cr and have today been advised that it will not be with me before February.

My lease car goes back in November, so this causes me a problem!

Update: Car has been built and awaiting shipment from Emden, should arrive by the end of this month :p

I ordered my Fabia SE Estate on the 15th of July at Adamsons in Walmer and the car was delivered last Friday the 17th. So that is 10 weeks which isnt too bad I guess? Expecting to collect this week!!!!!

Grahame

Car cost should have been 16.5k approx with the extras but taking my superb and 2.5k the vat is off the toys and the car so I am paying about £13.5k all in.

Been to see the dealer today to pay deposit and pick up order sheet, delivery times up to 21 weeks for fabias and 24 weeks for octavias, the factories are overwhelmed with the orders luckily my dealer has gauranteed my part ex price as he quotes for 12 week build now its going to take 21 wks he might just loose out on that price also he is throwing in the mudflaps and sill covers!

Full list price for a 1.6CR elegance is £14,100, so what toys could cost £2,400?

As VAT free price is £12,082 , if you are throwing a MkII Superb as part ex and paying £13.5k I would say you are being royally shafted.

DTD price is under £11.5k

But at least youre getting mud flaps and sill covers........

My 'reading of the deal is £2500 to change to the new car.

Superb has been valued at £11250 (today's value) so new car appears to be costing seboni21 £13750(approx.) incl. all options.

SPOT ON! The only thing I am paying is £2,500 with full spec 105cr tdi elegance, when the Fabia eventually lands, the superb will not be worth the £11.250 it will only be worth £10k or so not much more or even less, the wiffie has allready said this is it no more purchases, well not for the next 3 years B)

My lease car goes back in November, so this causes me a problem!

I had a similar problem, I ordered in June and was quoted 10-12 week delivery. I called at the showroom in August and was told the car was to be built week 41 (11 Oct) By the time the car was transported from the factory to the docks then shipped to the UK it was probably going to be into November before I got my hands on the car.

My lease car went back at the end of August. I collected a brand new Seat Ibiza Sport 1.6TDi Cr on 2nd September

SEAT would never have another build quality absolute rubbish, fuel consumption dire you should have waited for the fabia, honest I had the seat altea sport 1.9tdi terrible car, bought from new 57 plate had it 12 months glad I got rid total waste of money!your arse will be square after a long journey!! :(

Sorry, it wasnt clear.

sorry my fault post was not clear!

seboni121

The Seat Ibiza I have bought is the new generation small car from VAG, the Polo is on the same chassis, whilst the current Fabia is built on the previous 2000 chassis so the underpinnings of the car are a 10 year old design.

Regards my arse being square. I drove 300 mile non stop on Tuesday and a similar distance returning home on Wednesday, I did not find the car uncomfortable at all.

I have just parted with an 06 Passat a much larger car but no more comfortable

Ordered our Fabia Estate 1.2 TSI 105 DSG Elegance on 31st August and have been given a date of 1st week in January !!! :'(

Just back from hols and now my build date has been set to week 3 (17th Jan)!!! :'( :'( :'( :'(
