Delivery times for Fabia ?

Featured Replies

Ordered my Fabia Elegance 1.2 TSI DSG on 4 Jan 11, with an estimated delivery date of 4 Apr 11.

The order has been accepted and have the SLI number. The dealer now tells me that the delivery is mid April 11. But no information available on skodaFleet.

Wait and see game. Are we entitled to cancel the order if the delivery moves to the right?

dealer told me today it is in the country grimsby he expects to be with him at the end of the week yippee

the car has arived at the dealers on thursday 20 shoud pick it up wednesday26 exactly 6months from ordering

Yes, I was told by my dealer that the car must be registered within 14 days of landing in the UK.

I'm on build week 4 so maybe I'll be on a 60 plate too - was hoping for 11 plate, but could still happen if there are delays on their end.

Interesting - I wonder how they got round the delays for snow? I know for a fact that my car was in the country for more than 14 days before it was registered!!!

Maybe it's classed as events beyond their control?? Anyway, still sounds very sensible and logical compared to what is being said by dealers at the moment.

I don't believe there is any substance in this "must be regisistered within x days" claim. That is simply what Skoda are trying to impose. My order was placed without reference to any no VAT offer and I clearly stated that I required the car on or after 1st March. When threatened with early delivery I wrote and offered to cancel the order if they couldn't meet the original terms. I had a written reply stating that Skoda had agreed to honour the original date.

Nonetheless I am very dissappointed that Skoda show so little respect for their customers, and having to go into writing on this has left a bitter taste which has sullied the pleasure of buying a new car. Having such long lead times is not good for customer relations and then trying to impose a purchase date to suit themselves is adding insult to injury.

I was told that the reason for the 15 days between coming into the country and registering is that previously fleet clients were ordering in advance to get the No Vat and delaying registration for months involving storage and affecting the sales figures.

Above makes sense if they want to put sales through and cars on the roads

collected car today fantastic

Yes ! Yes! - just been told that my new vRS is at the docks emoticon-0148-yes.gif

Should be at my dealers about Wed/Thursday next week.

Picked a reg number from the list they had - managed to get the first and last letter of my surname - so I should remember it!

The dealer said they would ring as soon as it arrives - will go armed with a camera.

They say the rear mud flaps do not fit the new vRS - Skoda Parts Online said they do - something to sort out.

John

I contacted my dealer today for an update and my build is now estimated week 6 rather than week 9 so delivery March rather than April.

It will certainly be 11 plate so all fine by me.

Had an e-mail from my dealer yesterday - confirmed build week 11 (14 March).

I ordered on 2 November - so 5 months, as warned.

And apparently it's only getting worse, especially for the Yeti after last Sunday's TopGear...

Ordered mine 31 Aug, still waiting :'( :'( (build week 3), hoping I get it on an 11 plate now though.

Had a call from the dealer today, car has arrived and being readied for driving away 1st March '11' plate, Yippee !:happy::happy:

SWMBO rang me today saying the dealer had rang saying my car will be delivered next week to the dealer-typical ordered it on 7th October a

Oops trying to do this post on a iPod touch. Basically just got out from hospital after having a ICD fitted and not allowed to drive for a month. Rang the dealer and bit of a mix up. The car is at the dealers :( explained to them and they been great. Suggested I get a mate to drive me down to them and put them on the free 7 day drive around insurance and he can drive it home 4 me. But I have to look at it parked on my drive till the 24th march boo hoo.

Thanks don :) that's the reason I went for the DSG model as the other half hasn't driven for nearly 20 years now. Last update from the dealer said delivery end of march but alot seem to be coming thru alot quicker now. Seen the consultant end of the December and basically didn't think I have it fitted so quick- I'm lucky really as it was fitted for preventive measure I only got to stop driving for the month rather than the normal 6 months and I don't have the hassle of informing the dvla. Hope your partner doing all ok. Just waiting for the painkillers to kick in so I can get back to sleep. Well enjoy your baby when she turns up next week. What model did you go for after

Fabia Elegance Estate 1.2 TSI DSG in Rosso Brunello metallic, I also managed to get mudflaps, rubber mats (for winter use), bootliner and a spare wheel thrown in, you just got to keep at them. The reason I went for the DSG is because my partner has had an operation on one shoulder and needs one on the other this year (old injuries with working in care homes), so she was advised to use an automatic. Her pacemaker is doing fine, another checkup next week, hopeful all will be fine (she suffers from AF so will need an Ablation too :( ). Will post pics when in my possession.

Your car looks like the one I have ordered, so I am curious...

I wounder if u have got yours? how many week did it take or.. if u havent got it.. any confermed build-date or is your car on hold too?

I ordered mine 2010-10-20 with build-week 9.. then 14.. now suddently on hold.. Thinking of canselling the whole deal..

- Then buy me a 12,7mm sniper rifle and go to visit Czech Republic.. to some spesific factory and engage operation mad-man.
