its just in my town i got my vrs when i was 19

now at 22 there 10 a penny... all the numpty's have them

big cut out bumpers with no intercoolers

halfords 17" wheels, chrome door handles, angel eye headlights, lexus lights....

90% look real trash

even look on pistonheads every 2nd vrs is modded badly

im 19 myself, and in no way a boy racer if thats what ste is implying. my car is completely standard! and will remain that way for the duration that i own the car for the exeception of MAYBE a remap!

like big jase says fabia vrs mk1 is becoming the new saxo

why you would want to drive round like a complete **** racing everything that moves is beyond me anyway.

all this ive beat this, im quicker than that. pointless. at end of day the only thing u will be beating is the bus to the bus stop when you get banned for driving like a complete ****.

im not sure who your referring too. i disagree with everything that your saying. you expect somebody to buy a car with a good bit of performance to back it up and not drive it slow? dont get me wrong i very rarely exceed the speed limit and drive like a **** as you say, but if another car comes along, for example another fabia or something similar golf, ibiza leon of similar spec and theres the usual macho im faster than you thing going on no doubt ill have a go, why not?? how is that down grading or destroying the car?? thats like saying someone buys a new skyline GTR their not allowed to drive it fast? lol or if they do its ruining the car?

re. the boy racer thing, Ross is right - it's been like that in cycles for as long as I've been a member. In fact, I was just as bad when I first got the car - I wasn't used to driving something with so much torque and had a go at pretty much anything until the novelty wore off and the message of the general indifference of the other member to my antics got through.

Then as now, boy racers came and went. Their attempts at big-mouth bumpers and WRC wings got laughed off the site, and they hung out elsewhere. I don't see that changing...

Exactly, the VAG scene in general and in the particular, the forums won't tolerate it.

Boy racers will eventually conform or leave the scene....
