Yeti spotting - result!

Didn't see a single Yeti on my trip up to the Lakes on Friday and none pottering local to where I'm staying in Cartmel on Saturday.

Did a round trip today over the Hard Knott pass to Coniston, not one. Then saw a Red one parked in Hawkeshead around 3:00pm.

On the way back, having just passed through Grizedale Forest (no rallying sadly), had a Steel Blue Yeti reg. W 999 *** pass me travelling in opposite direction. Waved to the Lady driver and received a raised hand in acknowledgement. :hi:

Since the Yeti is the most favourite SUV in the Germany, I was wondering where are all these "Snow monsters" :wonder: - well, tonight there were mine Keri, a blue one in opposite direction and a black one 3 cars behind me on the left lane in the same crossroads at the time (I didn't saw that one until the driver passed me and waved and smiled – since the driver was nice brunette lady I was glad to return the gesture  ). Not too bad for 5 minutes of “Yeti spotting”

Got a funny look from an elderly gentleman driving a new 13 plate Yeti.

Pulled up next to him, smiled and drove past (I was in lane 2, he was in lane 1).

Aqua Blue Yeti in the Chelmsford area of Essex.

Last Month I also saw Yetis in Rethimnon (Skoda dealer there). Totally agree about their suitability for their roads. Also saw some at Plakias south of Rethimnon on the South Coast. My Rethimnon hire car boss who I have known for years said that he would go for Skodas rather than the VW the he currently favours if the local Skoda Agent was quicker off the mark rescuing broken down cars under warranty. That aspect is fundamental for a local hire company who runs new cars and the local VW agent is better at that action. He covets a Yeti and was very envious when he learned that I had one. He said he would love to hire them out.

Yep. got that too. You smile/wave, whatever, and they look at you as if Skodas are now supplying Care in the Community :giggle:

I have asked my carer to remind me to wave to other Yeti drivers.........

Yeti Man (Lee)? Hoddesdon about 10 minutes ago. Looks nice.

Hi mate, sorry I missed this, was sentenced to six days in Wales with work from 9am last Sunday... hence it must have been the missus driving. If it was on two wheels around the roundabouts let me know! Funny, as she said she didnt use it whilst I was away :wonder: :giggle:

 Sounds about right, now the rear arb has been moved to its stiffer setting, it does lovely neutral four wheel drifts... she's obviously discovered this too! :giggle: Where abouts was it parked up? (and no I dont suspect she's bonking the neighbour round the corner, Im just enjoying this big brother game with her and my car currently!):angel:

A drifting Yeti, that I've got to see

I won't say exact location as it could be family etc but off Stansted Road ring any bells?

Hmmm, thats where our milkman lives.... ;) Makes perfect sense Lee. :)

Most of the ones I see have child seats fitted, very popular with young families it seems

I passed a Rosso Brunello Yeti just outside Walton this evening. It was on a private plate H7 *** with the L&K style Annapurna alloys.

Also saw my first Shark Blue Yeti on Sunday (on the A1 travelling North but we were going South at the time so I didn't get a good look!)

Spotted an English plated yeti in Dublin this evening, near the O2. It was YB plated, Yorkshire?

Hi DBG400 it was me you saw yesterday in Walton on the way back to Tad

Yay - my first spot of another member of the Yeti forum (unless you count the Yeti mini-meet in East Yorkshire earlier in the year :giggle: ) It's the first L&K I've seen too. It certainly looked very shiny
