I might have retired but couldn't bear the thought of finding stuff to do at home.

Been thinking for a few years what I might do if I was to leave my last Company. Decided on a change of direction into a field I'm enthusiastic about.

Was fortunate enough to get a position with my local dealership, Progress Skoda in Letchworth. It's fun being a trainee with no responsibility!

Spotted a new face lift yeti in Muscovado in Halifax reg ending in XSL anyone on here?

Spotted a muscovado yeti on the A419 swindon heading toward M4 J15 yesterday 18/01/14. Anyone on here?

Black facelift Elegance  ~ 7 o'clock this morning - Ware Road.

 

Although it was pretty dark I could make out the front end very easily.

Dark Yeti coming down from Chequers to the Butlers Cross crossroads.  I think the driver waved, as did I, but it was coming out of the setting sun and I was late identifying it.

An FL? Even a guy that sells them all day long could mix up that with either an Octavia Mk3 or Rapid!

 

I think i saw that one last weekend at Van Hages garden centre - remember thinking the FL changes didnt do anything for me and in black the whole thing left me feeling cold!

Come on Lee, I know the Rapid rides on stilts but that's going too far    or is it?

 

I've got one right in front of my desk at the moment, Elegance (Outdoor) in Black, much prefer the Annapurnas than the old Spitzbergs.

 

I know it's not the original Yeti, but it does look a bit meaner.

Saw my first FL this evening. Looked like shark blue? It was dark so not sure. Think the tailgate is an improvement with those triangle creases. Loved the rear lights even though they weren't LED's they looked really good with the 2 thin strips lit up in a C shape which I thought only came with LED's but maybe not. I'm glad about this as now I don't feel so bad about not being able to afford the LED's on ours.Will see when it turns up on Monday.

I see the same one every day ... just outside my front window.

 

Then i have to remind myself I am the chosen one and its mine

Subject to CFB's confirmation that his SM is indeed a Musky, we passed, in opposite directions, on the dual carriageway A413 at Little Missenden this afternoon.  His dash cam clip of a couple of maniacs (posted, strangely, in the 'Briskoda drive recorder video footage thread' at #658) was just a couple of minutes later.

Must have missed you by seconds, as there was a musky that I caught up just going into Aylesbury. :(

^ No, didn't see you then.  You must have been a couple of minutes later, by which time we'd turned off the A413.  Next time! 

Even the wife has started spotting them, this taken just now in Harrogate.

Thought I recognised the road. I've seen more Yetis in Harrogate than Wetherby, but as there is a dealer there it's not surprising.

 

As an aside our wedding rings came from about 50 yards behind where that photo was taken, so the road sticks in my mind more than most!

 

Edit: I should add they were bought, rather than just picked up from the pavement
