Assuming you are talking wireless, you can run as many pc's/laptops as you like - we have 3 laptops, an Xbox 360, Ipod Touch and a Blackberry running wireless on ours

Cheers, I did think as much but someone told me you needed a second provider contract,

he was wrong, but I'm an IT retard, so thanks for clearing that up

3 PCs, 2 laptops, mobile phone and vodafone suresignal running from me... and it is just me in the house :-) That said I have until recently 2 ADSL lines as well... :giggle: (but one of those was 100% dedicated for work)

However as long as you have an ADSL (or cable) router and not just a modem then you can run pretty much as main devices as like, as long as the router is configured correctly. One of my workmates got his into bridge mode and thus only one device worked at a time. :dull:

Two laptops, iphone, ipod touch, xbox 360 and two DSis hooked into ours..lol

5 laptops, Wii, PSP, DS, iPod touch, 2 phones, 360, an old desktop/server, a 2nd router running as a switch and a printer on ours. . .

I think that maybe the other person was talking about 3G wireless dongles... He probably meant if you wanted to run them both together you would need another 3G dongle. If it's just to connect them both to your existing router in your house then yes you can do that without any probs as said above.

We have the PC, Laptop, Netbook, iPhone 3GS , iPhone 4, XBOX 360 s, Wii & our printer all connected via wi-fi to our router along with the blu-ray player connected physically..... So i win anyway cos i'm the only one to have the blu-ray player connected up.... How can people live without BD-Live???

Cheers

Dave.

Even if you have 3G wireless you can still run multiple devices from one connection by buying a 3G router, you take the SIM card out of the USB dongle and pop it in the router and it behaves like a wireless broadband router.

Technically you can only run 253 devices from a home wireless router as they tend to work on class C network addresses out of the box, practically I've never seen anymore than half a dozen devices in anyones house so there is some way to go before anyone reaches this limit.

A lot of draytek routers will take a USB 3g stick in them as well as a 2nd or 3rd internet backup route

My 2820 has a built in modem, then a WAN port for an external modem and USB 3g support as a final backup solution.... B)

Just avoid Celeron in laptops!
