I did, but I got a knockin still...under a good turn in, 2/3rds turn quickly and I get a faint dunk sound from rear, either left or right turn. I am just wondering if I have dropped it too much and have somthing snagging. Oh well in the garage today for it's ARB thingys will lift it when it comes home.

Yes Jon, did the final bit by going round to get to the A470, A4512 or whatever it is, up that B to the A5, then stop at a cafe. Allows folk to head back up A5 for a triangle lap or into Llangollen for beer. 208 Miles; 5hrs 20 mins engine time, but felt alot easier than last one.

Colin: It looks alot better when it's a little closer to the ground! The noise you're getting might be the front stabiliser. I know the RS needs changing when lowering to much. Like: [url=http://www.skodaklubben.com/galleriet/inkorg/190/stora/v

Christian,

Indeed we looked at te Kw issued notes, the fronts do need changing unless you have the 4x4. I have just raised it back to 10mm between frame and movable collar, yet to road test it, but the noise is definitly from this area as it occured when I jacked it up, but could not repeat it...the mystery continues...

Darn that RS looks good on the leggys.

Knock getting closer...just raised it back up by 2mm on the thread.

Knock gone, although it did once under a massive weight shift, didn't repeat as tyres were hurting.

But I left a pic on display, came back and noticed somthing...

This is the drivers side, note above the ARB coupler, a nice shiny bit of metal, to dark now to check, but thats shiny...I suspect somthing could be fouling upon that, might be time for big k's hammer. Also noticed the nice build up of oil on my shaft housings umm...

And it seems

im not sure i see what you mean?

can you circle the area?

Colin

Looks like you have found your problem.

Looking at the metal edge in the area you mentioned, it looks like something has been touching. Look how shiney the metalwork is compared to the surrounding area. You may want to put some paint on the shiney bit to stop any rust forming.

See attached enlargement

thanks manny now i see it...

Colin,

Are thay all sorted now, have you got rid of the knocking noise ??

Sadly thats an optical illusion, thats a good bit away from said suspension arm :(

Still knocking although I have been given a tip...outside and inside cambers on the springs...

is knocking not part of ultra stiff suspension? the CLK always did it...

maybe some trick bushes like jon's are in order?
