I guess I should wait a month before ringing them

Ordered Saturday 26th March 2011.

Rough guesstimate puts me around 25th June 2011.

Is that the day its built then I wait 3 weeks for delivery or is that supposed to be my due date as such?

Yes I gather estates seem to be slower. I've ordered a hatch, and the GL2s aren't dsg, but it is a diesel of course plus the fact the there are extra bits and bobs that make it differ from a standard Fabia. I'm seeing a lot about delays with vrs models but I wondered how this compares to delays with the Greenlines...

Given the lack of official information I think anecdotal evidence is the best I'm gonna get.

hi redline, i phoned customer services today and been given a build week of 19 (which is about the 10th.of may), although thats not set in stone given that i ordered on the 4th march i didnt think this.was too bad.

ordered a scout in January with an indicated 8-10 week period to build. Dealer has done everything he can to get some clarity from "retail support" (what support?) who now (28th March) say 20 weeks but there is no certainty in that even. Customer services tell me that none of the big cheeses that I want to speak to (MDs etc) are "customer-facing". Seriously close to cancelling order. It seems that Skoda care as much about their dealers as their customers. What a way to run a business.

Also ordered my 1.2 tsi elegance on 26th March. Been told by dealer to expect approx 12 weeks wait for delivery. I however am mentally ready for up to 20 weeks.

Hi mate that's good news. Hopefully mine will be similar, think I'll phone up tomorrow and check... I feared it might be July but late May / early June would be great! Got a couple of long trips to do over the summer and I'd much prefer to do them all in the Greenline than my old thirsty astra!

anyways, i just had to signup and comment on the black hole thing thats going on, I ordered my Fabia vRS on Sat 5th March - spec is Race Blue metallic, Black roof + alloys, and parking sensors - and was told it could be anywhere between 8 - 15 weeks. after waiting 20 days, eagerly browsing the forums (mainly looking at various pictures of vRSs to keep myself sane while waiting for my 1st brand new car), i went into my local Skoda; Simpsons, Colne; for an update and was shown the screen that Neil the sales guy gets to look at..

now, i hope this doesnt upset any of you, and i hope it doesnt change for me :yes: ..

BUT!.. after being told 15 weeks and reading on here about the bad system, the screen i was shown says the car should be at my dealer on the 28th April and available to pick up on 1st may for myself.. thats bang on 8 weeks after ordering, and pickup on a sunday!

I feel as though i may have cheated the system or something, I hadnt told anybody other than my parents and 1 of my brothers about it, now ive shared it to the world (of briskoda) i may have jinxed myself and end up with a delivery on week 20 or something daft :S

Ordered my GL2 same day (not 4th as I said earlier) and I'll probably be happy if it turns up by June!

Just called up and I've provisionally been brought forward to build week 16 which is only three weeks away. Looks like I'll have my car by the end of May.

Id ring them back the week before it's due to be built and they will give you more of a definate date.

Yeah he did say it could move forwards or backwards and they wouldn't know for definate until the week before.

I was hoping I might have been one of the lucky ones with an 8 week order to pick up :(

Yeh same here, I ordered feb 21st and was told I may get it for the end of April but it's been out back a few weeks. I hate waiting for anything!

At last my car will arrive too the dealer on Friday. Sadly i won't be able to pick it up until Monday =(

placed my order 1 September 2010 and was initially promised delivery in mid December. It's been a long wait these 7 months but i believe the fabia will be well worth it =)

I actually cant believe how long you have had to wait! the fabia is a great car but if my order is more than 4/5 months ill be cancelling, or at least threatening to. Im hoping that the stuff people have been writing about the black pack is true, and that all VAT offer cars will be built by the end of may

Thats what I've been told, yes. my car due to be built 2nd week of April so my dealer thinks it should be with them by 15th May.

Reading between the lines, looking at people who've ordered GL2s and comparing that to the various posts about the delays with the vRS (especially the latest waiting times!), it may seem that the GL2s are coming through slightly quicker - to answer my earlier question / speculation. Good for me I suppose but some of those wait times for the vRS sound ridiculous! Just as well they're such good cars (by all accounts)!

After ordering vrs candy white vrs with 2 options 2 feb 2011 was told after a week later build date was week 15 so far its changed to week 16 then to 18 and now its at week 21. will defo be contacting skoda uk tomorrow (im normally a patient person but i sold my mk1 vrs begining of march because of depreciation and im currently driving a 1986 volvo 340 gl)

YIPEE, picked car up Wednesday; Elegance Estate TSi 105 in red.Ordered end Jan with build week 20; looks like I got lucky by not ordering DSG. Engine is a peach.49mpg so far, very smooth and 'growls' nicely under acceleration.

Build week 20 is from tomorrow so you may have that wrong

sorry, didn't make it clear. dealer told me BW20 with delivery mid/late June.
