The thing you hate most..

Featured Replies

I thought all the vRS came with one as I didn't order one but there is one in the front and one in the rear of mine. The rear one is pretty smart as the roof lining as a depression where the wide light fits, making it flush.

Does it come with the rear electric windows if you order them ?

Or could it be the sunroof option I chose?

What's everyone else got :wonder:

Would you mind uploading a pic of the one you got at the back?

I'm interested to know whether my vRS estate might have a rear interior light. I've also spec'd rear elec wins but no sunroof. Would appreciate if anyone can comment.

I believe all estates have it as standard.

Hi Marcus,

Is your vRS an estate?

The thing I hate most is the amount of road dirt the rear wheels seem to chuck up over the bodywork on the tailgate and rear bumper!

I know mud-flaps would help with this problem but can't bring myself to fit 'em as I think they look hideous... :giggle:

The weird thing is, on every other motor I've owned its the front wheels that seem to get dirty first but on the furby vRS my fronts are always shiny whilst the rears seem to get mucky first.... very random!

Nope it's the hatch, with black grille, black roof spoiler and black front lights if you check out the pictures

got rear lecky windows on mine but no courtesy light in the rear....maybe an extra with the sunroof?

Is it not simply age related e removed on the later cars to cut costs? My local dealer told me skoda had really been cheapening things up on the cars in the last few months. Sure enough, there were some missing bits on their fresh new yeti elegance demo car! :dull:

In Ireland the rear interior light is standard :) Was one thing that ****ed me off with the MkI so I'm delighted it's in the MkII

must be then.

If you realy want to make progress on A & B roads manual is the only way to go and treat it as a sequential gear box. I've found the DSG in auto gives scary and horrific levels of understeer sport is more balanced but still favours understeer. Manual and a low gear helps to balance the car.

Agree tiptronic and/or paddles makes for swifter and smoother progress on windy roads as in auto mode the car is often in too high a gear on entry to the corner.

However I feel if you are pushing the furby so hard on the public road that you are inducing 'horrific levels of understeer' you probably need to calm down abit in your driving style if I'm honest. It's how accidents happen.... not cool

My newest gripe is keeping the car clean.

Washed it, cleaned it, dried it off. Drove down to the shops and back, and loads of water had come out of all the crevices and panel joints, under the reg plate etc along with loads of dirt. Net result, wiping the car down again.

Its impossible to keep clean. Guess its the reason you shouldnt bother with a white car

+1 exactly same problem with mine!

Endless floods of dirty water seem to cascade out from gap between bootlid and top of rear bumper...

Does anybody else get a nasty static shock when they climb out...ours does it without fail...I always try to discharge myself through my elbow as I exit now! :o

you need to get some good kitchen roll, and insert it into the cracks after shammying down ;) takes time, but works well. the only space I cannot get all the water out of is the front splitter!

Use this Dave:

I kid you not!!

:o Good god what have we ordered! I'm building up a hints and tips list for when it finally gets delivered, this would certainly be the most obscure yet! :)

Suppose you could always get one of those anti static dangly things that ground your car. Not sure they're good for lightning strikes though.

..........the lack of Xenon's.

I have double checked afew times that my lights are actually on. Had the Xenon's on the Mk1, dont realise how good they actually are til there gone :(, plus they look the business B)

if skoda made them an option i rekon there wouldnt be many vRS without them.

I think I'm going to fit xenons anyway..The lights are crap

i was going to go down the route of some better bulbs.

How much hassle will it be retro-fitting a Xenon kit?
