My new steering wheel went on yesterday, love it. Give the steering just a little more weight and chunky grip feels good when chucking it about.

Bit of faff with the boss as Momo list the Fabia as needing an 8016 which in fact is for a Felicia, the 8017 fits which is listed as Mk4 Golf.

:)

Looking good

Now hurry up and stick that engine in you was telling me about Saturday :p haha

What exhaust have you got on your car, sounded nice when you took off

  • Author

Standard exhaust, just an induction kit from a Polo G40 fitted.

What have you done for the airbag solution (just in case I need to make my airbag "live" for MOT) :)

Looking good though!

Do you have an airbag?

Just used the supplied bypass lead that came with the kit.

This car is lovely!

Cant understand people's harsh comments. If you don't like it, don't comment.. Just move onto a different thread.

Really enjoyed reading it (From start to - present) I no it hasn't been updated for 4ish months but look forward to one when it comes around!

I recently picked myself up a 1.4 MPI Estate which will be on the road in April and of course i'm slowly building a mod list! Was thinking about a Momo steering wheel for it, seeing yours has pretty much convinced me on getting one! Adds that 'Swagga' look to the interior!

Lovely car!

Thanks for the comments. I have no problems with haters posting. It's my car, I do things to it that I like I don't expect everyone to think the same and I don't mind at all if they don't.

Most people would think that doing this much work to an MPi is pointless but most bits were with fitted by the previous owner (well fitted for them by me) and a lot of other parts have been from other projects or second hand anyhow. Plus what makes it an MPi? The engine, change that and the project is somewhat different.

I have done a few other bits and bobs, might have been in other threads. It's now sporting a lower brace (second hand)but that's about it. The engine will be done but got a wedding to save up for first and I want to do it right so I can wait. We've had the car over four years and don't plan on selling it so there's plenty of time.

Just read this from start to finish and what impresses me most is the attention to detail, just goes to show you can make a car your own without throwing money at it with a little bit of thought and hard work and a few smart buy's/leftover kit from other projects.

nice job  it makes me think i can get my y reg fabia estate some love and tidy it up ,once i sort out the little problems with warning lights lol

I got an AUM, well a complete Octavia elegance to be fair minus a few bits Ali needs.

150bhp with a K03s so looking at just a remap, exhaust and FMIC to start with. But even with that it's going to be over 100bhp increase so should do well :)

Should run along just fine then :D

how much the guys at Unit 18 charging you for this mate?

only live down the road from Milton Keynes so is very tempting if the price is right ;)
