Featured Replies

I`d guess since the Ibiza came with a 1.8T a lot of parts from that could be utilised.

Yes and Polo

this is something ive wanted to do for a while! good luck with it, are you using standalone management for it or can you use the fabia / donor ecu in one way or another?

  • Author

I will use all management from the donor Octavia.

Top job mate it's looking awesome. Respect for the time and effort put into it!

That will be a great sleeper when it's done :-) are you doing it at unit 18?

  • Author

The Octavia was stripped at Unit18 but I will be building it locally to home.

However Ali will be involved with the project so as far as I'm concerned but like the Fabia vRS Combi it's a U18 project and will be credited as such.

Getting there slowly but surely.

Looking good :-)

"Tech1e" has Wayne actually got his car back on the road now? Is it all he hoped it would be?

Keep the updates coming, great work, you certainly don't hang about.

Awesome!

Thanks.

The car itself will look a little different when done, got a few ideas but something a little more simple.

Also just got a pair of Ibiza FR driveshafts for £60 delivered. Pick up a gearbox Sunday too :)

Coming along well. Looking good so far

Sweet. Good progress there Ross :-)

Good to see someone else fitting a Momo wheel, the standard wheel is a heavy old lump.

It will get there sooner or later.

i couldn't believe it when me and Richard was talking up at the NLC and he was saying the master tech at his work was doing this.. i was like hmm is it a silver one with loads of bright green on it?.. small world aye.. haha

  • Author

Yeah it is a small world, even more so in the Skoda world.

Big thanks to

They have supplied all the mounts I needed and the driveshafts from a broken Ibiza FR and were most helpful working from my descriptions. Considering what they charged inc delivery for the mounts it was a good effort on their part. Most would have just said naff off.

Just need a G60 flywheel and clutch and the engine can go in.

I enjoy checking your updates dude.

Cheers, once it's it that's when the fun stuff really starts.

The mountings required. Technically the bottom left is the same as mine, but as it was available I thought I might as well. I'd like to get the vibra technics mount for the cambelt side but at £170 it's a bit to pricey for the moment.

You can come back to it :)
