That was faster than expected! Dealer just called saying the car has arrived in the UK - I assume Sheerness.

Just delivery to the dealer, then collection left to go.

Was in Germany last week, and while riding along on my bike we passed a very long train full or right hand drive Fabias and Roomsters all heading North West... some nice VRS on that train too

Finally some good news from the SUK Customer Services! "I have received confirmation from the Factory that your vehicle will be built in the week commencing the 18th July 2011. Once the vehicle has been built, you should expect to take delivery within 3-4 weeks thereafter."

Octavia Scout ordered 16 Nov 2010.........

I'll finally be accepting delivery of my vRS on Tuesday morning. Initially ordered in Week 10, so a total waiting time of 19 weeks for me.

Im picking up my vRS tomorrow. Arrived at the dealers on monday. Ordered 14th March (week 11?) heavily loaded with extras - Sat Nav, Cimatromic aircon, heated seats, rear parking sensors, black roof. Was told back in March that the car would be with me by 18th July at the latest - so Skoda have succeeded with 4 days to spare!

It looks like ours were ordered and built at roughly the same time. Could I ask if yours has the black pack? I've not been able to confirm if mine has it and I don't pick up till Tuesday.

Yours is a Fabia VRS Hatch not estate?

Please can you tell me which dealer is supplying yours as it appears that you ordered basically the same car as I did three weeks after me and are getting it next week whilst mine has just been put back to week 46 - another 18 weeks!

Mike Longley.

It's a Hatch. Mine is a company car and I don't believe it's come through the normal dealer network. July 22nd has always been my estimated delivery date, so it'd seem Skoda were pretty accurate (or at least honest) from the start.

I understand that Skoda operate manufacture in windows, so they'll do batches of similar cars all at once. What differences are there with the spec you ordered? Possibly one of your options meant you got shunted into another window?

Hi,

Thanks.

I ordered a Candy White VRS Hatch and a only specified 2 options - Sunroof + Electric rear windows and chose Black/Chrome wheels so there does not seem to be much there to cause a problem.

I ordered week 7 and am currently being told that unconfirmed build week is 46 - 39 weeks! (full details in my previous posting).

Mine finally arrived at the dealers yesterday, anybody have any idea about average PDI and prep times?

Picked mine up 24 hours after it arrived at the dealership. Suppose it depends how busy they are, plus I bent there ears a bit having allready waited seven months I wasn't going to have it just sat at the dealer.

Dealer has called to advise car will be with them on Monday, and earliest collection is Wednesday. Getting closer...

Been informed this morning factory holiday wk 30 &31

Mine is on track still for 34 not sure if it's a result

At least mr skodas assistant won't be looking forward

To his holiday and forget a few nuts and bolts

Was that a poem?

Naa fairy tale of the unexpected

I'm amazed in this crisis of supply that they shut the sodding factory down.

Just been told my VRS has been pushed back yet another week to 41. Ordered on 7th March. The cynical could think that Skoda is doing this deliberately to keep you dangling on a thread, in the hope that you are less likely to cancel.

Email from the dealer this morning - the car has been built and is on it's way

(Ordered Jan 21 - 1.2SE 105bhp Est DSG with a few extras)

Mine with the same basic features was built in the same week, and was ordered 7th December.

Don't feel so bad now, thanks  The dealer reckons on 2 - 3 weeks before the car hits the dealership, then 24/48hours to PDI and get the tow bar fitted. So we are looking at anywhere between 30th July and the 8th of August. Oddly enough, I ordered my 2nd Audi TT on the same day (21st Jan) back in 2007 when they were as rare as hens teeth. That arrived in mid July ie the Skoda has taken longer! However, the Audi dealer at the time said it would take 2 - 3 weeks, but the car arrived in 10 days, fingers crossed for the same this time.

After a good long think and having another chat with the dealer, I have decided that I'm going to order one. B)

Looking at all the options I have also decided to keep things simple and have a standard one in candy white. Going in tomorrow to thrash out a deal.

Could I also ask anyone that has got one on the solutions deal what I can expect the monthly payments to be with following criteria:

~£4,000 PX/deposit

36 month contract.

The dealer has already mentioned the 3 years servicing and 15% off offers. Any tips on negotiating welcome. :giggle:

As far as the long delivery times are concerned, I'm going to assume a Feb/Mar delivery so as not to be disappointed.............

Cheers.

Your going to be hard pressed to get a further discount, they've already taken 15% off which comes from their profit margins and from Skoda.. Your getting free servicing with PCP which is a low rate anyway. The only thing to really negotiate on is your P/X
