The LED Lights Thread...

Featured Replies

Cheers, thought so.

I vote this topic to be sticky.

There are plenty of aftermarket DRL's available, not sure about Fabia specific ones though. Might need some modification to make them work.

Thanx stu will do the interior and I will investigate the DRLS

  • Visibility is poor. Can't see a thing

  • To me the Mtec looks like a typical blue light emitting bulb which will perform worse than the original.   Surely first and foremost, brighter with better visibility should be the aim.

May get a error on the dash exterior lights?

Never got any errors with LED number plate lights.

not sure on number plate lights, but if you change the indicator lights, it seems to make them blink faster and error somewhere

LED Indicators? I tried them ages ago on my old fabia and thought they were naff. What bulbs are you using?

i've not changed any bulbs, i've seen them on a member's car on here

Yeah LEDs in the number plate ligts, or in lamp clusters will give a bulb out warning,

You need to put a resistor in line, to trick the canbus system into thinking a bulb is present from the load required in the circuit.

I will have to have 2 sets as my fabia has courtesy lights in the rear as well and a set in the other fabia

Does the rear light come with the sunroof?

I have the rear interior light in my estate. One question, the manual specifies a C10W bulb but this is 42mm. Is the 39mm bulb a good fit? and based on how well it fitted would you say a 42mm bulb would be too big?

Does the rear light come with the sunroof?

No elegance specc

Bulbs I used are as per below :

VRS-Powered really is the king of bulbs! :D

VRS-Powered really is the king of bulbs! :D

:giggle::thumbup: went through it all when I had my Ibiza, spent a small fortune trying to find bulbs that wouldn't set off the warning light and looked white rather than blue or yellow!

Good to shed some light on the subject...

We all find your knowledge very enlightening... :giggle:

Just ordered some ultra h7s from your link in the other thread aswell

That was the first lighting mod i done as well :) good bulbs not the best but does the job

VRS-Powered is the reason my headlights are not like fried eggs ;)

By the way the brightest leds I could find for the interior was of this kind:

For the middle dome light:

and for the sides:

I will get pics too but unfortunately camera doesn't show the actual effect in the cabin.

It is a major improvement from the standard bulbs and no problems with the canbus.

which led's for boot light? thank you

are they MOT pass?

are they MOT pass?

Yes, the are e marked I think (legal).

However, replacing brake/side/indicators with non e marked lights (e.g. Led) is illegal and MOT failure as far as I know.

Boot light is just another 501 sidelight bulb.

Silvertecs are fully e-marked and road legal, no issues on MOT with mine in the past.
