The LED Lights Thread...

Featured Replies

Had some today, got my map readers.

They were fiddly little buggers, had to really tweak the little wires about to get them to work but they do now.

Got my rear number plate LED's as well, just waiting for the 18 LED festoons for the light areas.

  • Visibility is poor. Can't see a thing

  • To me the Mtec looks like a typical blue light emitting bulb which will perform worse than the original.   Surely first and foremost, brighter with better visibility should be the aim.

  • This is what I've got installed:-   Main interior light 44mm Festoon: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/271006347961?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649   Map readers X 2 and side light

Floodlight in the cabin

Boot light arrived today, bgggger to get out of the socket with metal casing then the LED was a bit big round the bulb end to fit. Tried for about 20 mins and no joy.

Can anyone recommend a LED boot light that fits ??? All the White LEDs in the car fitted fine including the 4 for the map lights and the 2 bigger ones for the main lights but the boot LED although the same bulb as the map lights needs to be smaller round the bulb end.

Of course I accept i could be doing something wrong.......

Tried for ages to get the unit back into the cavity but no joy as it's slightly larger in depth than the original one. Probo fine for Fabia Hatch, but no good for Estate.. :(

I have one of these in the boot

Cheers just ordered one will give it a go. If I can't get this to fit I'll leave the boot alone.

Thanks the coments/help guys

No bother, remember that is a green LED, so if you want white try and find one thats like it. Shouldn't be too hard to find

Thanks green is fine. Will tell the kids an aliens in the boot
