When the time comes to change your present Yeti, would you buy another one? I am due to change in the middle of next year as I generaly change every 2 to 3 years. I am not 100% sure if my next car will be another Yeti, don't get me wrong I like the car but I could not put my hand on my heart and say for definite that my next car will be a Yeti. This is my second Skoda and I'll find it difficult to move away from the brand one but I have yet to decide which model it will be. Of course it all depends on how the price to change matches my budget at the time. The Superb might be considered as might the next generation Octavia.

At the moment, I'm not looking beyond another SM for my next car - but this time with the velux roof, I hope! This will not be for another 2 - 2.5 years, so I suspect there may be a facelift before then, and of course any downgrading of the equipment/quality would have to be watched out for: but for now, yes, another Yeti it will be!

Already on my second (technically third) Yeti 4x4, so I voted yes :giggle: although as long as she remains reliable, this one will be staying quite a while I think. Car changing is getting too expensive :S

However if I was to change, then whatever I got would have to match the capabilities of the Yeti 4x4 and it's compact dimensions. As cars keep growing in size that might become more of a problem mind. So here's hoping the rumours of the next Fabia using the Audi A1 4x4 system for the Scout are correct and SUK import it, if Yeti Mk II puts on weight that is :smirk:

Voted yes.

I am due to change in about 2 years and at the moment the Yeti suits me fine.

I will more than likely up the spec and go for the elegance with heated screen this time.

Might even up the power to 140 so I can have the DSG too.

Yes. Suits us so well as a family car.

Unless they balls up the facelift we'll probably end up with one of those.... unless the 1.8 petrol DSG comes along sooner to the UK market, in which case we'll have to weigh up wether it's better to wait for a facelift as it wouldn't feel like having the same car twice.

It's a quandary certainly. There are undoubtedly aspects of the Yeti that I'd really like to see improved (a more powerful version and with DSG, better refinement, redesign of the folding mechanism for the rear seats and spare wheel accommodation etc). And the options list needs reworking (MDI, folding mirrors, rear camera, 16" alloys on all models) although I know that some of these issues are purely down to SUK and others (eg electric chairs) have become available since I originally ordered my Yeti.

But at the same time for a compact 4x4 package with many positive characteristics, 'nobody does it better'. I will however be tempted to take a look at the new Tiguan, maybe a Q3 and anything else that comes along in the interim when the time comes to change.

I've voted yes.

My mileage is such that the higher price of a diesel probably doesn't make sense.

I would like DSG.

I would prefer 4x4. Do I need it?

A 1.2Tsi with DSG and sunroof would be favourite.

But with 22k miles on my present Yeti and running well, should i even consider changing.

It's a quandary!

Voted No, as I do not see me changing cars for quite a while. The Yeti suits my purpose, and I see no reason to replace it for several years to come. It has a 4 year/100,000 km warranty, so that will not expire before the end of next year.

Instead, it might get supplemented with a two-wheeler. Just for a few fun rides during the summer - it looks like it might be a BMW K100 RS of late 1980's vintage.

Voted Undecided, same reason as Agerbundsen, I can't see me changing in the next 3-5 years.

Along somewhat similar lines, I am thinking of supplementing the SM with a second-hand LHD MX5 that I will keep at my flat in the south of France: ideal for a mid-life-crisis-poser swanning along the cote d'azur!

Undecided, I like the car, but the boot is a little too small with a spare wheel, (and my next car will have one of these- unlike this one), and I find the ride too hard and noisy at times.

like TP I am on my second yeti, and will in a few years time be looking to have another one , love the car and the driving position the boot space is fine for me, if i need to get more in I just fold the seats up.

I will probably go for the elegance next time with heated screen, as for engine size :wonder: maybe 170 if the bank manager is still talking to me

I love our Yeti, but it is limited for space for a family of 4 on a touring holiday with bikes etc, that is where the VRS estate comes in. I'd have to say they next car I'd love to see Skoda doing is either a Yeti 4x4 VRS (currently have the next best thing IMHO) or a Scout VRS. We bought our Yeti for the winter months as our default car for the 2-3 month winters we have these days.

I say yes!

Changing from TSI to TDI.

I want the DSG and the heater to the winter!

It's a long wait! :)

Kitten and I won't be getting another Yeti for a few years yet, but we hope the model has a long and fruitful longevity (at least long enough for us to get a 2nd one)

Will defiantly go for the sunroof, Rough road pack, TMP, and definable the auto DSG gearbox.

Will have a change of colour for net time though, possible the nice candy white.

And will DEFINITELY go for the towbar prep too emoticon-0136-giggle.gif

But this will be when Ivor is about 5 years old If we can afford it. emoticon-0112-wondering.gif

It depends what is on the market at the time I want to change. I normally keep for 5-6 years then look to change. The Yeti was only just available when I tested and ordered mine, so if I had been asked the question in, say, April 2009 the answer would probably have been another X-Trail.

Yes, but it won't be for another couple of years, so things might have changed by then.

As many have stated, it really depends on what is out there when the time to change comes. Who knows? Plus everybody's situation changes. I now no longer need the large boot of the Octavia or Superb as my girls rarely come in the car with us - late teenagers.....etc..etc...I don't want to drive a superb around London all day and then try and park it - it is nearly 2 feet longer than a Yeti. Maybe a replacement would be a G-wiz emoticon-0140-rofl.gif

Love the Yeti, will be looking for a change in 12-18 months probably, so assume it will have a facelift sometime between now and then, as this tends to happen every 3ish years.

Would like a little more boot space and the DSG - but not willing to drop the horse power down from 170 to 140 to do it.

The idea of a VRS Yeti would be interesting :-)

Other options will be looked at - including the Audi Q3 / Q5, maybe the face lifted Tiguan and maybe the RR Evoque (5 door) if its reliable...

Its a bit premature for me to start thinking about a new car as mine is only two months old

but based on the two months I would gladly buy a Yeti again, BUT I would like more power than

my current one with 140 HP and DSG.

I am 99.9% happy with my Yeti, an amazing car !!

I'm waiting to see how the luggage situation goes. If poor (i.e. get annoyed by lack of luggae space), might buy a Superb 170 4x4. Ideal would be an Evoque, but not daft enough to pay that amount for a spruced up Yeti (yet).

SWMBO loves it so far (but less than me :giggle: ), so it won't be a quick decision.

Perfect! Although I don't have a flat in the South of France, I do have an R-reg gold MX-5 which I bought to replace my Harley-Davidson when the knee pain became too much.

Well, BMW K 100RS 16 V ordered today - delivery on thursday. Candy Red - Little Red Riding Hood will be a perfect supplement to Snehvide.

The Yeti is the best car I've had for some time, since my last Volvo estate was hit by a truck.

I'd like to have better than the 110 TDI engine for the sake of safer overtaking, and wish I'd gone for the heated screen.

Tnx, already have 2 Yetis, but I would like to see larger offroader from Skoda in 1-2 years. :)
