Really interesting project matey. Enjoyed reading it. Quite a few negative comments?

Seats for me are by far the best addition! Love the re-trim. Makes me want to send mine off now haha!.

Keep it up mate.

  • It's been a looong time since I've updated this. But in fairness I haven't really done anything with the car. Done a few motorway miles this summer, and the front was looking a little chipped. So ha

Got a auto switch on light kit from Karl (korban). This ignites the fogs and sidelights when you unlock the car and it's dark.

Also bought an OEM leather steering wheel from a Brisk user which will be here next week..

Nice work dude!

Thanks guys, second coat has just gone on also.

Ooh how do you find the rear cup holder?

I'm waiting to receive mine at the minute.

Actually really good.

I was skeptical about it at first, as it looks like the drink will just fall out of the sides, so I did a little test...

I put a large half full KFC cup in it and span round a roundabout, and it held up just great!!

Can you actually reach it with the arm rest in place?

  • Author

yep just fine. Not so fine if it's in the upright position though.

Here's a few pics of my pre-Inters wash.

Also my cup holder, which will shortly go off to be sprayed gloss black.

And you can see my new tyres. 195s look and fit soo much better. Always had this awkward over hang with 205s that made the tyres look flat.

There wasn't much point though, as my car spent all day at the Shark stand. I took a wrong turn on the way to the strip, saw the 40% all remaps sign and couldn't resist!

Car feels great, not much difference in the lower gears, as this is where my car shown in the first place. As said previously, I was unsure about whether it had even had a map on it in the first place, as it had so much bite in 2nd gear. Shark confirmed it hadn't before mapping it. The difference is higher up in the rev range, engine has much more endurance. I love the extra grunt it has is higher gears.

195's look much much better mate. Steady progress! I like.

yeh so much better, thanks for the phone pics! They helped me make my mind up.

Ahhh so it was your car I saw on the Shark stand.

Looked very tidy!

Shame I didn't get to put a face to the name.

Thanks mate! Yeh shame we didn't cross paths, where was your car at the show?

Mine was just in the general car park.

Looking very dirty and sorry for itself at the minute!

Tim cheers for the comments on my car means alot. Loved the leather in yours and also the painted air vents nice touch. ha ha you couldnt resist the remap then, there were some great deals on maps at Inters to be fair. Im considering getting some pressed plates for the Fabia had them on my previous car too.

My favourite Skoda Fabia at Inters was the silver one with the xenons and the purple Mercedes rims looked ace. need some of those camber shims in my life lol.

No worries mate, you've done a good job! Me and Rhys were saying when we saw you on the M1 it's good to see such a clean example in silver, you rarely see that combo it seems.

Thanks! I live a fair distance from the shark HQ, so the fact that I didn't have to travel plus the huge discount was simply too much to resist!

Few small updates, went back to a scrapping vRS which is fairly local to pick up some plastic bits:

I absolutely love it! Finishes off the interior lovely, the leather feels amazing, really smooth.

Will get some proper pictures of the interior when I've had the last bits and bobs glossed black.

One of the best Fabia's on this forum.... Easily!

You're attention to detail is sick :p
