What time do the gates open? I was going to get a lift but might have to drive now and the Feli is desperately in need of an oil change so want to know if I've got time to do one early morning and get down there in time!

Welcome to come out in the mongrel. I'm not going to be giving it 110% anyway as I'm 99% sure my power steering system is going to crash like last time. Fingers crossed it won't though (Still driveable, just not easy to drive passionately like that)

Long range forecast for Bath doesn't seem too bad until the early evening [fingers crossed]

Edit: Passengers need a £5 passenger pass, and a separate small briefing. In theory though, they could then leech off spare passenger seats the entire day

Turning into an expensive day out!

My track spot isn't for sale. I just may not be able to attend.

I was the first on the list because I enjoyed the last time very much

and got my name down as soon as the thread begun.

Didn't want to go into details but here's the situation.

Along with two other relatives my wife and I are caring round the clock

for her Mum who is about to pass away anyday now from advanced Cancer.

She has deteriorated massively in the last 3 weeks and is now very near the end.

7 weeks ago she was full of life at our wedding but now it's a different story.

We have to do everything for her now and she is on more drugs than I've ever

seen. My wife is devastated. We can just about keep it together around her

mum to avoid upsetting her but when our shift ends and we go home she is

racked with tears depression and guilt. I have to try and comfort her as best as

I can.

My wife keeps telling me I should go and enjoy myself, but if by Saturday She has just

lost her Mum or if indeed Her Mum is still hanging in there.

Then how can I leave her alone for a whole day while I sod

about pretending to be a racing driver. I am of the belief that life goes on

and may still attend. But there are too many variables to say for sure.

Ordinarily, wild horses couldn't keep me away.
