  • Brave or Stupid...... Spoke to the mother-in-law last night and offered her a passenger ride round Combe......... she said YES!!

  • Nope, that's your rear view hanger to give you access to the pit/lane and indicate what time session you're booked for. Jason will likely get busy with MS Paint and draw a map like a 6 year old put

  • Well done, with that insult you just VOLUNTEERED yourself to draw a map like a 6 year old to show where the stand will be! :p

help reduce drag for 1/4 mile.

:o I put stickers on mine to increase drag :giggle:

Does anyone know what time the gates open.

Unfortunately so will mine be too. Rained all week. I'll try and give it a quick hose down tonight if I'm lucky but it will get dirty driving down anyway. They do have helmets to rent don't they? As for GoPro I've been using the suction mount and it's been fine. I would use a sticky pad but don't want to commit to where it is. I've heard they are a nightmare to get off.

Yh that's what I have the suction mount was just gonna put it on passenger side Bonnet and leave it running :) but I dunno I do have other mounts but don't trust them if it rains :(

I'm not sure you'll be allowed an 'external' mounting......can't say I've seen any in previous years @ Combe

This is one of my tests. This is mounted with the suction mount mounted behind the mirror, the mount itself laid fairly flat, camera tilted so it's level and then I changed the cameras setting to film upside down. Change it to be in HD for it to look decent

I will be bringing cake also and another Brisky member as a passenger :) if he wants to come round the track with me as a pasanger will he have to pay extra on top if his entry ticket? :)

I cleaned my car on Tuesday but its absolutely ****ing it down here so its gonna be filthy by the time i have driven down to Combe :(

Well we ain't on track untill 2ish so if any one wants help me set it up be much appreciated as I have only used it on me bike ????

passengers £5 and separate briefing.

Anyone who doesn't have a ticket pays on the gate (age 16+) Used to be £10 but think its £12 now. Going forward I might incorporate entry tickets into the whole booking as they are cheaper.

I might leave my chair at home if there will be surplus. Less for me to have to pack :D

Ha ha ha, yeah but the lowly 1.6 of my corsa needs all the help she can get. but hey she still raped a Skyline r34 to 60 ft. ha ha ha made him look a tit for take off.

Right then... Been toying with the idea of getting involved in this and now i know the weather won't be too bad for my little lad, all over this now!

Hope to meet some of you guys and gals and put a face to the names!

Jay

got some dry weather finally so car has been washed. all ready for tomorrow now

Mine too. Just looking up whether I need to polish or if I can go straight to sealant and wax

Just got back from my drivin experience day in the west midlands, so my ride is looking terrible and not enought time to wash her :(

Did you have fun driving? If so, forget the state of the car, concentrate on the positives! :)

@NinjaVRS, The Tavern will be open and they do excellent lunches but it will be pretty busy. Bringing something packed may be a safer idea... There will probably also be the odd burger van.

Yeah it was awesome, but wasn't my car I was ragging around the track thankfully!

Was underwhelmed by the Lamborghini Gallardo but absolutely loved the Nissan GT-R!!

For a taster from last year have a look at this official video from Castle Combe.

pay particular attention to around 3:01 on the timer, you'll see the Briskoda cars on track for about 1 second. The video only plays from the beginning, so you'll need to watch up to then.

No problem, have used them before.

Before you go to the trouble check with someone tomorrow at the track that a suction mount is OK.

Some circuits are twitchy about them in case they fall off.

The 3M sticky foot is great and works well tucked up behing the rear view mirror. It's not THAT difficult to get off, just takes a little persuasion. :)

Suction mounts are not allowed on windows, though I have seen suction mounts duck taped to the dash and they were happy with that.

My car is gleaming at the moment, it's been really sunny down here in Torbay all day, but I bet the roads will be wet, and it will end up being filthy by the time we reach Combe.

Also if anyone has a spare track pass and does not want to go on, I have a friend who would like to take it (if that's OK with you Jason), it will be a C55 AMG as well, so not Czech!

You can skip the video to wherever you want by clicking on the timeline at the bottom. There is only one second of two smoky black Fabias though :)
