Well, clear enough that high pressure building to 1018mb will keep most of the bad weather away.

Met office says no rain, so I'm sticking with the forecast from the people that do "the weather" :)

  • Brave or Stupid...... Spoke to the mother-in-law last night and offered her a passenger ride round Combe......... she said YES!!

  • Nope, that's your rear view hanger to give you access to the pit/lane and indicate what time session you're booked for. Jason will likely get busy with MS Paint and draw a map like a 6 year old put

  • Well done, with that insult you just VOLUNTEERED yourself to draw a map like a 6 year old to show where the stand will be! :p

I've got tickets for this, but I am planning on bringing my 106 Rallye. If weather is really bad in the morning I might take the Octy. I am not sure if there is a Rallye stand, so might crash ( :hi: )the BRISKODA one as it is so well organised and attended.

No point in me joining a convoy as I will be sticking to 60MPH on the M4 in order to save me and SWMBO's having a headache!

Saturday:

Heavy showers once again developing from mid-morning, mainly across Cornwall, Devon, Dorset and Somerset. Drier but still fairly cloudy further east. Showers giving way to more general rain overnight. Maximum temperature 14 °C.

Updated: 0347 on Fri 27 Apr 2012

Rain or not, I'm looking forward to this.

Hope it lives up to the expectations. :D

It's looking like just a light shower around 1pm now, so should be a good day for those worried about rain. :)

It could be dry at the circuit ....as already said Combe has its own climate. as well as that this bit of the forecast (Heavy showers once again developing from mid-morning, mainly across Cornwall, Devon, Dorset and Somerset) has nothing to do with us as the track is in Wiltshire

Cooking has already commenced and we have a carrot cake waiting in the cupboard for some icing, the gazebo is ready, as are the chairs so with other peoples gazebos and chairs the Brisky camp should be up and running in no time.

Note to Jason .....DON'T forget the poles, banner, Flags and bunting :hi:

Weather looks ok up until 4 but it could be a sprint back to the bridge to avoid the rain. What time does all this finish?

@ MartynVRS stay as late as you want. I'm sure I've stayed as late as 6 before when the weather was nice.

Usually things will start calming down about 5.

Out of interest, can you escape from the stand a little early or are you stuck there until the end of the day?

Ahem, and you think you can just rock on to any stand do you?! :p Octy fine, Pug, well....

You can get out any time, Richard. There's a convenient gate out right by the stand too.

The Megane stand is over on the other side near the big toilet facilities (Tower entrance). I'll make sure to wander over.

lol!!! we got a scrappy ford on our stand!! :p hee hee

ooh and also-the castle combe cake is made and decorated!! :D and teh fudge is all made!!

I am really looking forward to this now. Question is though, shall I add a third layer of wax to my car?

MrsJonny5ive mentioned yesterday, "oh I went shopping and only realised on the way home we only have one egg left...... Can you make the cake to take down on Saturday"?

Guess who will be indulging in a spot of late night masterbaking!!! :o:giggle:

Go Pro fine. You've got the 3m sticky foot mounted on the screen?

I know suction mounts are sometimes a problem at tracks.

Yes, passenger pays on the gate.

I am taking a few spare chairs, just in case others forget. Can't hurt to do the same. :)

Also do I need to bring chairs or anything :(

EDIT **** DAMMIT BOSS!! You're too fast ****

1. If you wanna sit down, yes.

2. You may be allowed to use the camera, you can expect fairly rigourous scrutiny of any mounted camera kit.

3. Yes, your other half will need to pay on the gate £12

May make this now... Still not 100% though.

Washed the car! dry it :rain: dry it :rain: again! have to meet wife in town :rain: car is now dirty again! :wall: gonna pick her up from work fill up with fuel then wash it again, and then try to wax it. i can see i will be waxing it at 5 am tomorrow morning. :wonder:

My car will be dirty.

That is all.

Unfortunately so will mine be too. Rained all week. I'll try and give it a quick hose down tonight if I'm lucky but it will get dirty driving down anyway. They do have helmets to rent don't they? As for GoPro I've been using the suction mount and it's been fine. I would use a sticky pad but don't want to commit to where it is. I've heard they are a nightmare to get off.

My car will be dirty.

That is all.

cant do it mate. too anal. have a corsa gsi and one year before USC i spent 6 hours waxing her. I almost have an OCD like lloyd.

I wish I had the time to spend keeping old faithful that clean.

I wish I had the time to spend keeping old faithful that clean.

its only because i am off work at the moment, plus when it comes to USC i take the day before off to prepare motor, then when get there and have put tent up i usually detail her again. for another hour or two. help reduce drag for 1/4 mile.
