Not sure how the self levellers work with regards to the wiring into the backs of the lights but i know there is an ebay seller called Jonnyintegrale (also a member on here i think) that had the whole mech for the rear axle and a loom for sale not so long ago. He also had the headlight washer system (pump/bottle/piping/covers and jets) but i bought that!

This is the seller but its not listed but i bet he still has it as i was watching it till it ended without selling

I've just looked at the ebay shop that they are from.

They also list the Xenon light with the chrome surround, however this unit is £199. Why would one be more expensive than the other?

Thing is aswel, they didnt come black, they were all chrome!

I looked into the self level sensor, i saw him selling one ages ago but theres no loom in the car for it and from what i found out its a hard job to wire in, which is why people only fit the washers.

I've done hours of research into the loom - it's not possible to retrofit... I also have the self leveller but no loom!

I'm hoping they'll just plug straight in and I'll I'll need is some D2s bulbs or will they take h7?

Stupid auto correct. All*

It will be D2S for the dipped beam, then H7 for the high beam as they're not bi-xenon

I'd be very surprised if they came with the ballasts etc.

Unit 18 done it :dull:

Unit 18 done it :dull:

They had an entire car to take bits off of though, trying to order each part would be a massive pain... I've asked Ali and he said he won't do it. :(

You will need ballasts too. They are not built into the lights and the lamps dont have internal ignitors. Beware of the cheap lamps too! Dont just buy any ballasts as they are different and have different plugs etc. The reason i know all this is because i have retrofitted them to mine and a ballast was broke so i researched and took the lights apart to find out everything :)

Where did you get your ballasts and bulbs from?

From ebay. Just a 2nd hand ballast. Bulbs i got some osrams brand new off ebay. The cheap ones dont last and dont give off the correct colour. Over time the colour changes too, where as the better ones give the correct colour that you picked and dont change over time. I might have a spare ballast in the garage to get a pic or part number for peeps

EDIT:

This is the type of ballast, a Hella D2S ballast. The rubber is not needed as the cable passes through the plastic on the rear of the headlight. (will require cutting the plasic to feed through). The red part is what the bulb connects too, which is why you need this ballast and a D2S lamp.

No doubt its a big job, but its possible. Ask him each visit he`ll say yes eventually

Carmodshop.com is better mate :)

This was going to be my other suggestion. How long the ballasts/lamps last i dont know. You will need to make sure you get the right loom plug fitment though i think.

You should be able to pick up a pair of hella ballasts (used) for about £50, Osrams about £70 unless a forum sponsor gives discount or a pair come up on ebay.

Ill double check mine tomorrow see how the ballasts plug in. Ill get a pic too

I've had the Car Mod Shop HID's for 4 years now without fault. 4300k in colour, and have not changed in their lifespan so far. Quality product IMO  I would get a set from there.

I say the same about HIDs4U. Had a retro fit kit and D2S bulbs from them on my old car, nearly 4 years going strong.

I have an rclick kit and bulbs now as my HIDs4U discount code ran out, so far so good.

They both look a decent kit

But as I do live up norf its a natural instinct to go for the cheaper kit 
